Am I the only one or does anyone else see D-Brick as a G in the future?

If Leonard Davis can make them move then D-Brick can. Of course that would leave us with zero good T's.

Davis is a monster, d'bust is about 60 pounds lighter than him. you should blame our garbage oline SQUARELY on our tightwad joke of an owner.

Why don't we just put a good G by D'Brick? I'm sure that would help more than moving him.

D'Brick is not the problem with this O-line.

D'brick is part of the problem, not the entire problem. RT, RG and LG need to be addressed, but D-Brick isn't an innocent party to the O-lines woes.

20 sacks let up in 2 years, for a 4th pick in the draft, is unacceptable. BTW, D-Brick let up 10 sacks last year right next to Kendall. D'Brick can't handle a Bull Rush........he's too soft. Year 3 will be a make or break year for him, he has to show improvement. You don't invest Huge money for the 4th pick for him to be medicore at best.

Ever hear of the saying it takes 3 years for a LT to come into his own? Pro Bowl LT Matt light gave up similar stats his first two years.

Sorry, 2 years and he hasn't progressed or even improved. Joe Thomas is playing lights out this year.

Show me Light's stats with a link, please.

4.5 sacks. i believe 1 holding penalty and 5 false starts.

some LT need less time to develop than others. next year is critical for d'brick...everyone knows. if he doesn't do well, likely he will be ask to move around the line.

Plinko....I'm sorry, I'm not going to defend Brick for 20 sacks in 2 years. It's a shame the Jets' invest in "Franchise LT" and we may have to move hime to RT or G........decisions like this set Teams back. I agree, next year is critical, I hope he turns it around.

    Let's go down the liine.....

D' Brick: many LT's need time to adapt and adjust to the NFL. A perfect example is Bryant McKinnie is Minnesota. He came out of Miami a top 10 pick and was to be all world....The next Muinoz.....He NEVER gave up a sack in 4 years at The U, came to the NFL and was a revolving door - all be it after holding out for some time. The next year though he was still raw by NFL standards. He has progressed nicely and this year he has Hutchinson working next to him and he once again is drawing comparisons to some elite LT's. Let's get D'Brick a quality seasoned LG and see how he does. Faneca is not coming here....He has ties to Wisesenhut and Grimm, both of whom are now in Arizona...He will follow.

Clarke - A very good college OG at THE Ohio State University has been horrible in the NFL.... Bye, Bye...

Montgomery - Has actually played well enough to earn a return trip next year. Could provide solid depth with continued development.

Mangold - Our best OL. He too needs experience and ability next to him...on both sides...

Moore - Next season he will provide... Depth....Depth....Depth...

Clement - Next season he will provide...Depth...Depth...Depth...

How to address the OL for next year...IMHO...

Sign Stacey Andrews to play RT. He also adds depth as he can play OG.

Sign Jacob Bell. He has played very well all seasson and looked good yesterday.

Draft the LG from Oregon State - Scheunering (Sp?) Without question the class of the interior OL in this years draft. He should be available come the second round.

Eric Steinbach >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Adriane Clarke, Will Montgomery, and whoever else

Kind of hard to look good when the guy right next to him is a human turnstile. The fact that D'Brick has dominated and played well against ends like Jason Taylor, Aaron Schobel (who owned him last year), Terrell Suggs, Osi, Cole, Dwight Freeney, and whoever else says alot about his talent.

Put a G next to him and I think we have a Pro Bowl LT for years.

You mean to tell me that having the worst LG in the entire NFL next to him has effected Brick negativiely. Come on dude that is a weak argument.

BTW a poster posted those sack numbers. I know for a fact they are bullshit. At least 3-4 of the sacks this year that are on Bricks stat sheet are a result of the DE originaly lined up on Brick stunting with the DT to get on Clarke. Seriously, I do not know who the fuck does that compilation but it is nonsense.

That probably means a couple of the sacks for the other guys are bullshit as well.

I would venture a guess that Clarke was or is soley responsible for as many as 13-15 sacks this year. He is that fucking bad.

    Our Offensive Line SUCKS !!!
The Kendall Disaster -- which I have to believe Mangini & Tannenbaum expected, I think they deliberately tanked this season -- was expected.

The regression of D'Brick's game and the lack of anybody else besides Mangold making an impact were not.

Thoughts ? No good guards outside of Fanacea in FA.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's my thoughts on this: Of course, Tangini NEVER expected this kind of disaster. There is no way they "deliberately tanked this season." The Jets were a playoff team the year before, we all expected them to take the next step, fo 11-5, and win a playoff game or two.

The thing is, to me, is that these two IDIOTS (Mangini & Tannenbaum) were so convinced that the 2006 Jets were a playoff team that they traded all their draft picks for TWO PLAYERS. This is the same arrogance that the Herm Edwards Jets' had when they used their 2nd round draft choice (after trading away their #1) on a kicker...

"The Jets have so much talent that we're just a player or two away from making the playoffs!"

So, it's very funny that, when Parcells coached, all you heard about was how the Jets had NO TALENT and that the players always played hard to make up for their LACK OF TALENT.

I wouldn't call D'Brick a bust just yet, as he needs a good crew around him in order to fully reach his potential.

Yeah he's a average player. The thing is that when you are taking a LT number 4 overall he better be better than average and he isn't.

I would think a guy who has shut down and dominated some of the guys he's played well against is more than average.

It's tough to look great with crap next to you.

I'm not even sure people pine over Kendall. It's not like he's a that good of a G anyway. Who know Clarke would suck THIS bad? All reports in training camp sounded good...don't remember the preseason though.
