Rhodes also didn't make second team all-pro team when he clearly deserves it. Here's who made it second team for safeties Darren Sharper, Troy Polamalu and Sean Taylor. Taylor i really cant argue against he was having a very good year until it tragically came to an end. But here are stats compared Player Tackles Sacks FF INT Rhodes 67 2 2 5 Sharper 63 0 1 4 Polamalu 58 0 3 0 (yes, that's zero INTS!)
There's more to it than just stats. Polamalu was the safety on one of the best defenses in the league. Rhodes was on one of the worst defenses in the league.
what i remember from him this season is, that he got burned, fooled and missed a ton of tackles. Rhodes made plays.
When we start to win games Rhodes will get the pro bowl spot he deserves! We get treated like losers because we are. Unfortunately life is not fair.
do really care about the pro bowl it sucks and i have never watched more than 10 minutes of any of them who fucking cares
I haven't watched a probowl in over 10 years, and don't plan on watching anytime soon. Besides the MLB all star game (which I used to enjoy more before when it didn't count) all of these exhibition games are on my do not watch list.
Lynch only started 12 games too... The statistics comparison isn't even close. We have to learn to basically ignore the Pro Bowl roster and just accept that it doesn't always consist of the best players in the NFL. It's a popularity contest. What a joke...
Polamalu missed a significant amount of time due to injuries this year... He was not the reason for the success of the Steeler D
News flash, the pro-bowl is a popularity contest. That's why being called a "pro-bowler" in the NFL is pretty much meaningless. No one watches anyway.
Oh no, Kerry Rhodes doesn't get a free vacation to Hawaii. If they moved that game to Iowa, all of the 4th alternates would be playing across the board. The players care about it less than anybody else.
What the bigger injustice really is that this guy didn't make the all-pro team. Rhodes and Adrian Wilson in Arizona are the two must underrated safeties and you could argue defensive players in the league. I'm just happy that contract talks have begun. He is the guy along with Revis that will help be cornerstones for the defense for years.
Tell that to Justin Miller... (If you don't understand, check out his facebook page... Think players aren't proud when they're selected to go to Hawaii? Think they don't love it? Think again)
Obviously, but being selected to go to the Pro Bowl is a lot more than just suiting up for the game... Getting passed over, and missing out on the honor of being there, along with the experience, has got to suck for a player...
Polamalu just pulled out of the Pro Bowl and he is being replaced by.... Antione Bethea. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=NFL&Show=SKILL&id=681
