Since the Senior Bowl, a lot of people started to jump on the Sedrick Ellis band wagon. Many have stated that he is rapidly closing the gap with Glenn Dorsey with some even saying that he's better than the semi-consensus first pick. In particular, Mike Mayock has stated that Ellis' best position in the pros could be a 3-4 NT. It seems like the pro-Ellis momentum is turning him into a top 5 pick.

With that being said and with the Jets dire need for better a NT for their 3-4 Defense, would you now strongly consider Ellis for the team's pick in the First Round?

I'm going with Gholston to take over Victor Hobson's spot. Gholston is a freak of nature, I just hope he doesn't test positive for steroids after we draft him.

I agree. Gholston should be the choice at No. 6

The top two DTs are just that DTs, not NTs. Gholston is almost a lock for our top choice.

unless McFadden is there, or Gholsten somehow gets picked before 6, Gholsten is our man. There is no doubt about it....

there will be speculation about other players getting picked, as usual, but Gholsten is the only option...there is no question

He's projected as a top 10 pick, and he plays a position which is one of the Jets' biggest needs.

Uh, you haven't been watching too much TV or reading too many articles. Almost every NFL draft analyst is saying we're going to take him.

If we don't pick him he'll end up on the Pats and will be tormenting our QB for the next 10 yrs

why would you take Mcfadden? honestly our lines stink and we need hlep at the linebacker position. What good is a great running back when you have no one to block for him and no pass rush to get the other teams offense off the field.

I'll second that. The only mocks that don't have us drafting him at this point have him already gone before us. I did see one that had him at 7 to the pats and D-Mac as our pick.

He is at this point a consensus top 10 pick. The Combine should only solidify that.

I am not impresses with Gholston and HOPE he is not pick, Ellis will have a much better pro career than Gholston , but it wont be with the Jets.
Best case scenario is the McFadden drops and we can trade the pick.

I think Gholston is the better choice. Ellis is not a NT. He would make a much better end in a 4-3. He is a bad fit for us.

Maybe they could groom Sed. Ellis to takeover Sea. Ellis's spot. Sean doesn't have much left in the tank and isn't very productive at DE 34.

I would much rather take Gholston..Ellis simply isn't big enough..I think Gholston may be a real time monster. I want a monster. I want a monster to drop Brady forever. I want a monster to drop every Qb out there next year. I want to get fired up and a play maker that can crush a Qb is what I want to get excited about.
