I did not ask for you anything. I just gave you my HO of the players you mentioned. I even said that your evulation of Justin I agreed with right? I do not agree that there is something to look forward to when over 1/2 of the starters need to be replaced. That is a very, very tall order in 5 years much less 1 as you are saying I think

All I said was that we disagree Champ. That's fine, it's a natural part of conversation. We do agree on some things, and that's fine as well.

We have vastly differing opinions about how far away our team is, and again, that's fine too. The only problem is, by the time we figure out who is right and who is wrong, it's too late.

You originally asked me for my version of the positives, and I gave them to you. As I said, just because we don't agree on particulars, it doesn't mean I'm right or that you are. We just see it from different angles.

Yep I guess but as a word a caution without good players we will never/ever win the NFL which is why we have been losers for the last 39 years

If people didn't believe in a brighter future lotto wouldn't be so popular.

Lotto is yearly expense of $52.00 whereas as I posted to NYJ season tix holders it is over a $2,600.00 per year expense. For some it is dream to improve yourself via the lotto (get rich quick scheme) which except for the very, very lucky never comes to pass. There are those who contend that the lotto is sought of a negative tax on those that think it is there ticket to the top. Anyway yes the lotto is a maybe but when you have to replace more then 1/2 of the starters on the team that is sort of locking you into a bottom feeding position in the NFL

If you basically believe in fate, luck, lightning striking, etc., etc. there is no reason to not believe things will get better. This fatalistic approach gives us tremendous hope for the future because everyone knows that luck runs out and that those who are down on their luck are due.

Your problem Champ is you believe in ownership and management can some how grab fate by the throat and impact the teams destiny that's not the way of the sports world. Look at the draft it's a lottery, FA, a crap shoot, injuries, it's when not if.

The entire premise of your argument is based on man having control over his destiny. If that were the case Las Vegas would still be a pile of sand.

H'mmm why not go into some areas of our country & ask people in there 70s & 80s did there ship come in. You can also try the Hurricane Katrina crowd & ask if there ship has come in. What I am saying is to win the NFL the 1st thing you must have are "good" players not just semi decent ones. Luck/faith & whatever else do not play any factor IMHO. Then you need coaches who can evulate talent (not Mangini please) who can put those players in a position to win. Then you need a scheme that will allow those "good" players to win. The last 39 years has shown that we have gotten garbage players which is why we are one of the bottom feeders in the NFL & even if present ownership/management want to turn it around (problematical at best)it will take some years because of the all the players that need to replaced. That is why the so call "dream" as you post is way, way over the horizon still

The brightness in my future is that I have no cruises planned with delusional old men who hate the Jets yet claim to be Jet fans.

This might be the smartest thing you've ever said on here. Champ thinks the owner can just control everything and has the benefit of the same 20/20 hindsight champ uses to make his arguments.

While we're looking for answers, you still haven't given us your plan. Why don't you start here, then I'll go next. Do it champ, support your argument.

It is this type of insight that the Jets, and indeed, all Jet fans have been missing for the last 39 years. Thanks for that "word of caution", guy.

If you believe in fate and don't believe in management, Woody still sucks as an owner, look how bad his Karma is.

See! It's simple! All the Jets need to do is hire good players, get a good scheme, and coaches who evulate!!! Easy as pie! It's really not that problematical.
