Just heard it on the WFAN, he thinks D-rob will be dealt he is due 9.8 in base and a 12.5 cap number. He says that the Jets have looked for a combination of first day picks, but they haven't found it yet. Teams interested are Detriot, Tampa Bay, Denver, and Carolina
Come on man, ya gotta lower your expectations alittle. This is not exactly our golden boy we're trading here. Walker might not be great, but he doesn't suck. You really wouldn't want him as our third receiver?
I would like to get a CB for him. I think a D-Rob for Dre Bly swap is fair and makes sense for both teams.
I still think if we can do a DT swap with Detroit and grab Rogers in addition to Jenkins that it would be the best thing possible. Either that, or try to pry Roy Williams from them.
The thing is he doesn't wanna be a 3rd receiver....he'll bitch and moan like he's a pro-bowler or something....plus he shredded his knee not to long ago....Robertson may not be the "baby sapp" that we wanted...but the fact are he was our best lineman....only 26 YO, and never missed time due to injury. I much rather draft a WR.
We just traded for K.Jenkins who is alot better than S.Rogers... But if we ran the 4-3... Jenkins and Rogers would be one of the best two 1-2 punches for DT's in the NFL... Maybe even better than Henderson and Stroud in Jax... But since we have D.Harris and just traded away J.Vilma... No way we can run the 4-3. What would S.Rogers do for this Jets team other than play for Jenkins when Jenkins needs a rest... I dont think Rogers can play DE
Take a 3rd and thats that. Take the DET pick since Denver doesnt have a 3rd(I know this because I will run with them in the mock draft on here) Denver can also part with 1 4th or 2 of them for him, even though I'd prefer they dont since I like to draft.
D-Rob to Denver for a 2nd/3rd round pick and the CB Foxworth. I'd love that. Denver probably wouldn't give up that much, though.
I really wished we could've fleeced the Lions for Vilma, I still think we could've got a better deal than the Saints.
You use Rogers at the nose and Jenkins at end. hell, we could probably play a 2-5 defense if we wanted to with that sort of beef on the line :breakdance:
I really really hope you aren't talking about Michael Clayton. He is one of the worst receivers in the league...His hands are horrible, his routes are bad, and his speed sucks. The only good thing about him is his blocking. He had a great rookie season and has since done absolutely nothing. He keeps fighting for the 4th receiver role, and is in a rotation...Hell, last season he was almost cut.
Below is from nfl.com, didnt' see it posted anywhere and it certainly is not worth its own thread: "The Miami Dolphins signed former Jets free-agent tight end Sean Ryan to a one-year deal."
