Who the hell is Calvin Pace? Did I miss something this year when Pace was named the "terror" of the NFL QB's? Minimal sacks and some people make it sound like he's the next LT. I'm not C. Pace specialist, but why are people enamored with this guy? And what does he have that B. Thomas doesn't or can't accomplish?

If Gholston is gone, I feel McFadden will be there, I would luv to see McFadden running behind Ferguson-Faneca-And Mangold...

I know McFadden is a SPECIAL RB, but I still want Vernon Gholston to play for us.

D.Harris, V.Gholston, K.Rhodes, D.Revis, S.Ellis and K.Jenkins is a pretty solid foundation.... 2 Explosive LB's in V.Gholston and D.Harris, 2 Ball-Hawking Playmakers in the secondary in D.Revis and K.Rhodes, and the man that demands Double teams on the D-Line... K.Jenkins with S.Ellis becomins a monster again for us...

Thats 2 QUALITY players for each part of the Defense... D-Line, LB's and Secondary...

Would it be asking for 2 much to sign Faneca, Jenkins AND A.Samuel in one offseason?

    Good point.
The more i think about Colvin, the more i think he's worth looking into.....only if price tag is reasonable.
We potentially won't get Gholston or Groves.
Even if we do, Colvin actually has a ton of 3-4 experience, which no other LB's on D really have. He'd be a good mentor, leader, and has versatility to play ILB as well. Worth a look.

Not so fast.. Apparently Chris Mortenson just said Pace is coming to NY tomorrow and the Jets are the frontrunners?

    Should be an interesting weekend..

Thats great to hear. I feel the Jets really could have an amazing off-season if they add Pace, Faneca, and Woody. I would be terrified going into the draft without Pace and missing out on Gholston.

If in one weekend the Jets got Faneca, Pace and Jenkins I'd be thrilled. That's how you fill your 3 biggest holes.

I dont want Pace on the Jets, if gholston is gone then we take DMC and then take that guy Sean Crable in the second round or take Groves (doubt hell be there.)

Signing Pace would have nothing to do with drafting Gholston.. Right now we have exactly one semi decent pass rusher, if you could even call Thomas semi decent.

If the Giants proved anything in the SB run it is that you can never have enough pass rushers. Signing Pace would be a great move.

You dont want Pace. And if Gholston doesnt drop then you are happy with.

Thomas, Bowens, Crable as our OLB's? Unlike you I would be terrified to see that.

Also you can never guarantee any players will be there during the draft. During FA you fill as many holes as you can and put yourslef in position to draft BPA.

Signing Pace, would give the Jets the option. We could still draft Gholston if he falls. But if he doesnt then we gave ourselves a chance to draft OLB's in the later rounds at the same time filling a need.

This is what I heard on the Fan awhile ago too... that Pace will be in town tomorrow after visiting with Bill Parcells. It was rumored that Parcells wanted this guy BIG TIME and is upset that he's coming to NY tomorrow.

Thant could be a very good sign for our chances... hope we sign him right in the spot.

Fuckin' sucks to go 1-15...maybe Josh McCown will turn Miami around.

Calvin Pace probably knows that Miami is going to suck for a while, and he sees that the Jets are trying to win now by bringing in big name guys like Kris Jenkins and Alan Faneca.
