This is not a good move, this is a great move. We have not been able to stop the run the last 2 years due to the lack of a real nose tackle. We finally have one and the price is more than reasonable. The word steal describes this situation perfectly.

I hope you mean "bleed green" for the money, and not Jets green. Certainly guys like Kendall and Coles have never been for the Jets first and foremost.

Nope, paying people don't worry me. Paying people that have 2yrs left on their contract worries me.

We don't have anything right now. We have a guy who signed a piece of paper to play for us. For all we know he could roll over each time the ball is snapped and let the RB run past him. If we let him play for a year and he could stop then run then we would know what we had. And then he should be rewarded for that, with a new contract.

Correction Jenkins was a probowl caliber player about three years ago. Every since W Sapp got into his head, he been going down hill and fast. Jenkins has never played the NT position in his career. Jet are taking a big risk, but what other option did they have.

I bet you think Tommy Kelley was worth all of that money.

By the way, Warren Sapp has sucked since 2003.

oh good god anyone that listens to your analysis on anything related to football should have their head examined. You sir have been monumentally wrong on just about any football related subject you opine about.

Please go back to jacking off to your Al Davis posters and leave us alone.

If jeaux doesn't like Jenkins, the Jets definitely made a great move.

Should the Jets stand pat and hope someone else stops the run? The run D is awful, and must be fixed. You have to take a chance somewhere, and to start with a 6-4 340lb Pro Bowler is a start.

Ooh hooray I'm a Raiders fan we tagged a CB whose name I cannot spell and am putting all hope into a "tall, strong armed" QB. Maybe, if everything falls in the right places we won't be picking in the top 5 next April for the 6th year in a row!

Warren sapp is retired, Something Jenkins should have done about three years ago. Isn't it kind of coincidence Jenkins play declined right after the steriod scandal, that Hit the Panthers. Who Is this Tommy Kelley? Can't find him on NFl.com.

W sapp ten sacks in 2006. When was last time a Jet DT had ten sacks .

jenkins made the pro bowl in 2006, the raiders are the joke of the league, jamrcus russel is big arm small brain, your coach is underqualified and your owner is as about as stable as warren sapp on a tight rope, the fact of the matter is that you are jealous that a 4-12 team is making moves to improve their team, unlike your pathetic raider who wont make the playoffs for the next 15 years...the black hole is in between yours and al davis's ears, not in your stadium

Better putting your Hope in a Rookie CB(revis) who was burnt more than F Washington was ever his rookie year. (thats with F washington playing 98% of time in man to man coverage) OR Putting your hope IN a chicken arm QB(pennington- you know with these moves JET/ Mangini has to win now to save his job. That he almost certainly will be Jets QB.
These moves with signing older freeagents . You better plan on winning soon or you might be picking in top five for the next decade.

Again you want to discuss where your better than the raiders.

we are better than the raiders at every position, darrelle revis will be an elite corner for the next 10 years, the final 8 games of the season proved just that, do your homework or shut the fuck up, the raiders are a JOKE, quit being sour that a 4-12 team just laid foundations to building a championship contender, not the foundation for being a disgrace
