Don Banks reports that this schmuck ballooned up to 300 lbs. since the season ended.

The bad news is that combined with his ridiculous hold-out and poor freshman outing, this weight gain might signal the quickest bust in NFL history. (Whadda go, Jamarcus!)

The good news is that the Raiders have finally found their franchise left tackle.

This is all part of the OL coach's (Cable) strategy to develop the strongest hand punch in the world. Take the strongest QB arm in the world and make him fat. Muahahahaha! Ultimate pass protection!

Now you know why nobody ever wants the #1 pick in the NFL anymore. I'm waiting for the year when all 32 teams pass altogether on the first round.

You know, I like to bash the Raiders as much as anybody, but if Russell's playing weight is any less than 270, I would be surprised. And I know his listed weight, but that tends to be a bunch of hooey halfway through the season.

This all fits into the plans of Al Davis to market jogging suits and sweat pants.

1st Picks are horrible, They're always busts. The latest 1st round draft pick to not be a bust was Mario Williams who went to the Texans.

FWIW, this has been denied by various people, and since Russell hasn't gotten on anyone's scale in public, no one really knows that the truth is.

Jamarcus Russell official weight is 270 pounds. Will probably be at 260 pound by the start of training camp. This is big non story. Your talking about a qb that missed all of training camp and most of the season . Of course your going to be rusty. I think your a little premature in calling him a bust. You do realize Peyton Manning threw 11 interceptions in his first four games. Its like jet fans calling Eli Manning a bust , and Jets QB situation being in better shape a couple months ago. Now that same bust, has a superbowl ring to his credit, when there qb hasn't even sniffed a superbowl.

Jets have the worst QB situation in the NFL. So i wouldn't comment about any one QB. Revis will get a first hand look oF the great Jamarcus Russell, as he victimized countless times in coverage when jets visit the raiders next year.
