1st. pick Dolphins take Chris Long

2nd. pick Rams take Jake Long

3rd pick Falcons take Matt Ryan

4th pick Raiders select Darren McFadden

5th pick the Chiefs trade down with the New England Patriots who select Vernon Gholston.

Yeh agreed, and they do have the power to pull that off and it would be a definate shot by Herm and Belichek to the Jets, while getting the guy that Jets want and I especially want for the Jets

6th pick, with that scenario, I think we are able to trade back with the saints/bengals/broncos, who are after Glenn Dorsey. He is by far the best player on the board, he just doesnt fit our system. So after a trade back, we could obtain the top CB(Mckelvin/Cromartie), or the top WR (Sweed) or the next top DL/OLB Harvey.... I think the Jets would end up allright. however, we are fucked if the Falcons take Dorsey instead of Ryan...

My thoughts exactly, we have a lot of options still if it goes down that way. Even if Dorsey if gone, you don't any of those teams would trade up for Ellis?

I'm sure you would be just fine with us missing out on one of the top 7 elite player in this draft that fits our scheme, while the Pats burn us yet again.

i have a feeling we'd trade up to 5 before the Pats do, or pull that hypothetical trade with OAK where we send a player and the 6th.

No we're not fucked, then we draft a franchise QB.

In the original scenario you take McKelvin.

But more than likely Dorsey or Ellis will fuel a trade down, or even the next best LT on the board, whom the Chiefs are sure to draft after we pick will get a deal done.

I have a feeling that the Rams will take Dorsey at 2, and kick Carriker back to his natural position.

I'd be fine with McKelvin at #6 if Gholston and DMAC are gone. I'm sure we can find a legit passrusher in round 2 if necessary.

And if 4 out of those 5 bust and the guy we get at 6 is an excellent starter for 10 seasons, would that still be a nightmare?

Whatever, we still have the 6th pick in the draft. I couldn't care less for what everyone else does, I care that we get BPA. Nab McKelvin, DRC, Harvey, or Mendenhall there and I'm more than happy.

I would think that the CS and the FO have two or three alternatives for this scenario.

Also, it's not all that unlikely that this will happen, given the hype today.

Jets have no one the Raiders would want. (fits the Raiders) It would be for draft picks.

Remind me again, why was it important to beat Herm and the Chiefs in that week 17 match up?

Dorsey is too short (6-2) for playing end.

Actually, I think this would be an IDEAL situation. A lot of teams would badly want Dorsey, and we can trade down to the team that gives us the best package.
