Philly wants a first round pick for Sheppard. If a deal could be made it would probably be for Robertson and our second. We might have to throw in a fourth as well to get him. Not sure we don't have a higher priority for our second than a CB.
1. Say NO to Lito 2. DRob for 4th or 5th, I'll be screaming out of Joy. DRob for 2 2nd-day picks, and I'm in heaven.
This is actually getting to be really pathetic. What's happening now is the Jets are allowing D-Rob to talk money and take physicals with all the teams that might want to sign him after he gets cut.
With four teams interested, just who is the highest bidder? With four teams interested, who has what we want more?
Regardless he would do the same thing even if he does get cut. This way we are at least trying to get some kind of compensation for him and its worth a shot rather than just cut him and be stuck with the cap hit for the year.
Not necessarily. Jets will get something for him regardless, because whichever of the 4 teams that will want him most will be willing to give up a day 2 pick just to get his rights and to not bank on D-Rob choosing the right team if he were to be cut.
wouldn't the thought process be what team wants him more so you sell him to the highest bidder? I don't think he's getting cut, i think he is a draft day trade. We will throw him into a draft trade up or down. If we use DRob to move from the 6th round to the end of 4th/top 5th and get a 2nd day player like LW or Rhodes, it was a great move.... Hell, if we get a solid backup who starts one year due to injury and wows us, it was still a great move.
That would be highway robbery. I think it would take DRob and a 2nd to get Lito, which is way too much.
