I didn't look at the schedule (again). I got my sandwich at noon (pst) and kept it in the fridge figuring I had four hours. At 2pm(pst) I took it out and began eating...then realized the game had started. Tomorrow I will eat not let the team down.
If people can find it in their minds to have faith in a religion, why can't other people believe in the power of a turkey sandwich? On one hand, you have a turkey sandwich helping the Mets win games. And on the other, you have imaginary heroes and an afterlife. Either way I'm right.
ha ha cheers to that. and yes i puked my turkey sandwich up last night. but that was after drinking my sorrows away with heineken and southern comfort. and i can still taste the southern right now,and its nasty.eyes burning and shit.hangovers suck
its not just the turkey, its what its paired with. 2006 it was turkey muenster tomato on pumpernickel/rye swirl bread. and we where hot. last year i jumped around trying different combos. tuesday i actually tried a turkey reuban.bad mistake the sandwich sucked and i threw it away.i need to eat it at the desk while listening to the game. next game is wed april 30 110pm start. wifey is making the sandwich going back to the 06 style.
I love me some turkey reuben. Billy's Beach Cafe in Long Beach has the best I've ever tried, get it with the half and half... curly fries.
what does it come on? my shop gave it to me on a regular hogie.it needed to be on a tastier bread, and maybe some bacon. pork fat on anything is good.
Never thought of adding bacon, brilliant! Comes on rye bread with coleslaw, swiss, and thousand isle dressing.
Before the series in Philly I went to a Nathan's stand in a local mall Food Court and gobbled up two hot dogs with sauerkraut, relish and mustard. That is my season starting ritual though, but this season I did two dogs from the cafeteria in the building where I work, with an orange fountain soda to replicate the "Needick's" experience. Maybe I should be hitting Nathan's more often!
