Hello, and welcome. I thought I saw you say you were new in at least two other threads last night, but I was sleepless and bleary so I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating from sleep deprivation or not. Yes, probably that.
Well Oakland will now rush for over 100 yards a game. Shame that with that run defense opponents will rush for over 200 yards a game against them.
You didn't say anything about the Bay area. You said "Raider fans." I'm a Raider fan. I'm dealing in facts, and you're dealing in name calling. And if you're a Jet fan you'll know that players will play anywhere because they love money. Just ask Faneca.
They'll now rush for 100 yards a game? How about 130 yards a game last year? Interesting to note that the Raiders (admittedly) abysmal run defense was ranked 31st and the Jets were two whole spots above them at 29th.
Oooh I'm scared. The Jets are in the same boat as the Raiders; everybody thinks they're one of their "easy" games when they look at the schedule.
The Raiders aren't the only team with some bloated contracts. My point is it's a joke to think McFadden wouldn't want to play there. These guys will play anywhere if the money is there.
I was not trying to scare you. Sorry about that. All I was responding to was your comment about Gholston. We'll see what you think on 10/19.
Hey Yis, in all seriousness, why aren't they a good fit? They have a good rushing offense. Their zone blocking scheme fits his style perfectly. They're building around a QB they drafted last year and now they've added a weapon to take the pressure off him, just like the Colts did with Manning and James, Cowboys with Aikman and Emmitt, etc. Why isn't it a good match?
My first choice was Chris Long to be honest. But if he was gone I did want McFadden and what he will bring to the offense over Ghoulston. Ghoulston scared me a little becasue he had a good career but was really not considered a top half of the first round pick until the combine. That makes me think of Mike Mamula and it's a bit risky. Having said that, he certainly could be great, we'll have to wait and see. If he is great you guys should have the best pass rush you've had in years.
Just wondering if anyone else noticed how slowly McFadden rose out of his chair when his name was called. It was almost as though he was hoping there was another DMC who would step in and take his place.
