People complain about Gholston taking some plays off, but do you really think players dont take plays off? Every player takes plays off, it's a fact.
No. People don't complain about him taking plays off. They complain about him taking GAMES off. On the up side, his biggest games were in his biggest games. Still, this isn't something people are making up out of thin air. Perception, often enough, is reality. We only hope that he will reinvent himself as a pro.
Actually its Saturday it is the 7th day of the week after all. But thats not neither here nor there. I think Mangini and Bryan Cox can get a fire under this kids ass and I expect good things from him.
This is BS IMHO. They interviewed Tressel, his collge coach. He sais people making that statement are nuts. He said in the OSU Defensive scheme they TRAIN their LBs to stay at home when play moves away in certain zones. He said tha tto untrained eye it will look like 'taking plays/game off'. He said in games where they stayed away from Gholston cuase they 'feared' him, it would appear that he took game off. I feel very comfortable with the guy.
