First of all, JaMarcus Russell never weighed 300 pounds this offseason. That report was unsubstantiated and later proven false. That's the point.

So you're way off base saying the difference is one guy playing QB and one guy playing nose tackle. The difference is falsely accusing Russell of being overweight vs. a published report stating that Jenkins has lost 30 pounds and is still overweight. Get it?

I don't think I'm capable of truly responding seriously to Raiders threads anymore, so I will just say yes. Raiderjeaux ruined me for Raiders debates.

Kris Jenkins...overweight or not...will still destroy JaMarcus Russell at will. Hell, if would be smart for Russell to balloon out to 300 lbs....lord knows his oline can't protect him

Russell doesn't even need an offensive line to protect him from Jenkins. Just replace the right guard with an oven stuffer, that'll keep him occupied for maybe 2 or 3 plays.

By the way, before you crack on the Raiders' offensive line, admit this:

    • The Raiders let up a dozen fewer sacks than the Jets (41 to 53).
    • The Raiders' sack percentage was better than the Jets' (8.3 to 9.4).
    • The Raiders outrushed the Jets by 385 yards (2086 to 1701).
    • The Raiders averaged 4.1 yards per carry compared to 3.8 for the Jets.

Now give me some good excuses and don't attach your CAT scan this time...

how about this...you hold on to your meaningless stats...and I'll take victories and post-season berths..you know, intangibles the Jets have accomplished in the last few seasons to which the Raiders have not.

Now that I think about it...the Raiders haven't had a winning season since 2002-2003...

you might want to consider shutting up.

I think this is the third or fourth time this off-season there's been a story about someone or something going wrong for the Raiders, and it turns into "Oh yeah!? Well... Kris Jenkins is fat!"

Yes, we all hate that our run stuffing, gap clogging nose tackle is... enormous. What ever will we do!?

In order to run a good 3-4 defense you need to have a NT that weighs somewhere in the 350 or 360 range. robertson was too small for the job and jenkins will demand double teams in the middle

I still love how Jenkins is attacked for losing the weight before OTA's started and that is not seen as someone who cares and wants to earn his money. He is now at the appropriate weight, but is allowed to lose 15-20 more lbs as stated in the contract.

Walker shows up to camp out of shape and its excused for and turns back into Jenkins is fat. That makes no sense.

As for Russell being 300 lbs. I don't think he hit that mark- I do think he hit 290, but he's come to camp at the appropriate weight like Jenkins. So that debate is moot.

So the conclusion is that Walker is out of shape and is a headcase with bad knees, but was given a shitload of money. Go Raiders.

That doesn't change the fact that JaMarcus Russel is a fat ass, who obviously is out of shape and it is very unlikely that this changes anytime soon. This was a huge knock as he was being drafted, and nobody is surprised that he is still getting hated on because he is still a fat, out of shape, QB.

Jenkins is supposed to be a fat ass plugging up the middle for our 3-4 D. We have already went down that road with a "skinny" NT, so your theory is terrible. Especially when the guy is showing that he wants to be here, and he is willing to drop a couple extra pounds to be productive for this team.

How does JR benefit from being a fat QB? Seriously? He may make some NT in this league feel a little insecure about themselves, but that is about it.

Jamarcus Russell weighs 269 pds thats a great weight for a 6'6 QB to be at. But thats neither here nor there Walker is all types of screwed up mentally and physically and I dont think he will have a successful year at best I say 40 receptions 700 and something yards.

Shutting up? On a message board? Here's a news flash: The Raiders are a 4-12 team, and so are the Jets. So let's not hear about victories and post season berths, dude. You have to be kidding me.

Boy, you're really holding onto the "JaMarcus is fat" angle, aren't you? Despite the fact that he is at least 10 pounds under his college playing weight. And his mobility at 280 was better than Chad or Clemens for that matter.

It's just funny because "Janikowski has a hangnail" gets blown up into Armageddon on this board.

And as far as changing the subject, I wish I had a nickel everytime there was a legitimate Raider-related football thread on here that got turned into "Al wears diapers, etc." by some of you!

As far as Jenkins, not many guys have held up for the long haul at that weight. Ted Washington is an anomoly. Again, he had to lose 30 pounds in one offseason to get to 360! Sapp lost a ridiculous amount of weight last offseason and it definitely had a negative effect on him. We'll see...

In the last five years, what is the Raiders record? How many winning seasons have they had? Hell how many seasons above .500 have they had? How many times were they to the playoffs?

The present state of affairs is 4-12 for both teams. If you want to go back before that, why is five years the magic number? Because it excludes the AFC Championship the Raiders won this decade? Or the other Championship game appearance they made this decade? Or the three straight division titles? Or the two victories over the Jets in January?

    Boy, you're slick.
