    Hey guys,

I am looking to go to the Jets-Broncos game next year and I found tickets in section 114 row 29. The tickets are going to cost 130 and before I spent that money I wanted to find out if seats in this section are any good. If anyone sits here or has sat in this section let me know how the experience is an if you can see everything. Thanks.

Sorry for double posting this in the Jets Experience forum and this one but I need an answer kind of quick and I know that there's not much traffic in that one. Thanks anyone that gives me some information.

Sec 114 is around the 10 yd line or so and you are closer to the back of the the section so they are decent seats though you will have some trouble when the ball is on the other side of the field.

sounds like my cousins' section. Great when they're in that redzone/goalline. Not so good when they're on the other end of the field. (use the jumbotron when they're at the other endzone ;) )

Lower level seats are the worst. Get seats upstaris where you can see all the action.

lower level seats are not the worst. ppl in the uppder deck say that to make themselves feel better. lower level is great, as long as you're not in the end zone or very low. Those seats you got are pretty decent seats, but sometimes the perspective is a little strange when you're in the corner of the end zone no matter what level.

Disagree, I've been in the corner of the uppder deck from about 13 years now. No matter where they are on the field I see it perfectly. My ideal seats are 50 yard line, first row upper deck. I think most people would agree with this.

Probably the best seats in the house. I used to advertise with the Star-Ledger. so once in a while I used to get their "perk" seats right there along the rail. Man, what a view of the game!

Right, you've been in those seats for 13 years, so you know how to watch it from up there. If it is your first game, you're going to have some issues with perspective. I sat up there twice over the last few years for the giants/jets preseason game when I used my giants fan freinds seats. When you're used to watching it on TV or from the sidelines, its tricky to get used to seeing it straight on from the end zone... let alone from the corner angle. But you get used to it over time, because it was better for me even at the end of the game i was at.

I totally agree with you as you can actually see the play develop & if it will be successful especially on a pass play. I have UD sideline front row seats & I think they are just terrific. I have sampled both mez & lower deck rail seats & IMHO they do not hold a candle to my UD seats. I wonder if at the new stadium I will still be on the sunny side of the field after the time change

    Hi Champ,

    You have great seats indeed!

Isn't the new stadium "rotated" a bit from the positioning of the old stadium? I thought I remember seeing the new stadium oriented differently, more north-south than the current east-west positioning of Giants Stadium.

If so, this will affect who gets the sun. My current seats are on the shady side... not that I'd get the sun anyway, because I'm under the cover of the UD. But who knows where any of us will wind up (if there at all), given the current state of affairs with the seat prices and PSLs.

Thanks well I guess 1 SB win + good seats is something anyway.

Yes in the winter my present seats are A+ since they are in sun. When I went we opened our jackets & put a thermal blanket on the concrete to keep the cold out of our feet & we were fine.

As you say we will shortly see what the future holds for us all concerning our season tix. Whatever it is it is & we will either fork over the money or say goodbye to the seats. At least I had the pleasure of transferring the seats to my son some years back so at least he can say he own them at one time. You know the handing down theory from farther to son

My son and daughter are both married and they're all Jets fans and love to go to the games with my wife and I, and I would love to pass the tickets on to them. In fact, they're both expecting a child soon, so we've already bought the Jets infant clothes, Jets booties, etc., so now we'll have even more Jets fans in the family. I was looking forward to taking my grandchildren to the games.

But the current state of the tickets is something we've all talked about. As all newlyweds, they're struggling to pay mortgages, etc., so there's no way they could afford the (possibly) outrageous prices. So we don't know where we're going with this now. I either "pony up" as Gator says, or I don't. If it's too outrageous, it may come to an end for our family by 2010.

Well good luck on becoming a grand parent. I have 3 myself & once those new borns show up the doorstep your son & daughters priorities + yours will be a changing anyway so the PSLs may be coming at a very good time for you. All of us that have season tix are in the same boat & all of us will have to decide if we want to pony up the PSL money to Woody who under any circumstances will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Thanks a lot. Based on this I'm going to keep looking around and see if I can get something in the lower level of the upper deck.. Who knows, maybe it will be cheaper. I've sat in both the upper deck and the mezzanine and I think that the mezzanine was the better of the two locations. However, the prices for these tickets are through the roof.

My seats are in the upper deck, but I've also sat in the lower deck and mezzanine many times. Upper deck has the advantage of perspective and being able to see plays develop, but the lower deck allows you to better see the more subtle movement of players and such.

I actually think the mezzanine gives you the best combination of the two, and that's where I'd sit if I had my druthers. Also, you may be shielded from rain in the mezz.

Just my 2c. I think you should hop on those seats if you haven't already. It will be a great time!

If it's your first game I definitely would recommend those seats. I've been about 10 rows up from the 10 yard line, and it was great seeing scoring opportunities and touchdowns. Being as close to the action as possible is the way I like it, especially since I only go to one game a year.

I don't understand all the knocks on the lower-level seats that I'm seeing on this board. You go to a game in order to be close to the action, and sitting in the lower levels feels almost as if you're part of the game itself.

Getting home on the other hand... you're going to hate that part.

You can see ftom pretty mcuh any seat but certain sections in the lower level you cannot see the other side of the field, it's great on your side but when it goes the other way you cannot see or if you are down low on the sidelines you get blocked by players and coaches and cannot see sideline plays near you. In the upper deck you are far away but you can see the entire field. The best seats are midfield the last few rows in the lower level, the mezz or anywhere in the upper level.

Close to the action if the action happends to be by you. If not, you can not tell if its a 2 yard or 10 yard run, who made the run and who made the tackle. I would rather watch the game on a 13 inch black and white then sit that close. Its feast or famine.

My grandson lives in FL and was visiting over the holidays. So I took him to the last game of the season, the KC game. He's a big Leon fan, so instead of sitting up in my Mezz seats, I snuck on down to the 50 YL in the Lower Level and we commandeered (stole) some seats in about the 13th row. I took him in early for the warmups and he spent about an hour in the fornt row, just looking at all the players warming up. He was within 15' of Leon and Mike Nugent and Pennington, etc. So he starts yelling for autographs, you believe it? And of course, they've igoring him, but it was a great experience.

But those seats have a totally different perspective and look from there. Totally. I'm not saying I like it better or worse, it's just a different look to the game at field level.

I pretty much agree with those that say there's really "not a bad seat in the house" there. Some seats are better than others, obviously, but all the seats have a pretty good look because of teh way the stadium is stacked vertically. Sadly, the same won't be said of the new stadium, because the deck footprint is spread out considerably.

The one thing I didn't want to do is spend all this money and then find out that I could barely see what was happening on the other side of midfield.
