...what does that say about Shaun Alexander...that Jordan gets signed in about a day. PATS SIGN JORDAN Posted by Michael David Smith on July 26, 2008, 2:49 p.m. Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the New England Patriots have signed running back LaMont Jordan, a day after he was released by the Oakland Raiders. Per Schefter, Jordan was also considering signing with the Saints, a team that could be in greater need of another veteran running back if Deuce McAllister?s swollen knee turns out to be serious. Jordan?s deal with the Patriots is a one-year contract. No financial terms have been reported. Last season Jordan played in 12 games for the Raiders, starting seven and finishing the season with 144 carries for 549 yards and three touchdowns. http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/
This player will put the Patriots over the top. I'm now certain they will go 16-0 again this year and will score at least one more TD than they scored in the 2007 regular season. Just a stellar acquisition for the Patsies.
Not really. Just trying to sarcastically indicate I don't think much of him as a good runner these days. I'm sure he'll score against the Jets, though. Hell, even Blair Thomas did so for NE.
A fat, lazy rb that doesn't bother to learn the playbook doesn't scare me one bit. BRING HIM ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great. Now he'll prolly run for 2,000 yards this year and be NFL Offensive MVP I hate sports sometimes.
It was said when he was here. But in NE, people really change into better players. He'll make a difference by being the back who catches the 2 yrd pass for a 1st down that the Pats love doing.
Their version of Jesse Chatman...talented somewhat young back with somewhat fresh legs that NEEDS someone kicking his ass to stay in shape...he probably does jack shit for them...but watch him annoy the fuck out of us...oh well the Pats can do the Pats we'll keep doing us and we'll see where that goes.
NE signs Lamont Jordan probably already been posted, but cbssportsline report the pats picked up lamont.
Jordan is on the wrong side of 30. He will be a good backup. But with Maroney and Morris ahead of him, I wouldn't expect too much.
Yeah, it was posted in the NFL section because it is not Jets news. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=33917
I remember when the Jets' failure to offer Jordan a contract was viewed as a disaster by many on this board. Now all you hear is the sound of crickets when Jordan is mentioned.
