The PSL gives you the right to buy 10 Jets home games, period. Two of those 10 games are worthless exhibition scrimmages, but you'll still pay full price regardless.

So, you're really talking 8 meaningful games a year. That's it. And the ticket prices (after you pay the PSL) range from roughly $100 to $800 PER ticket.

This is why this is such a cockamamie injustice... one that's sure to have 80% of current ticketholders heading for the door.

i think 80% is a tad drastic. i'm sure a decent amount of people will leave but definately not 80%. when push comes to shove if the prices aren't that bad many people will pay because they want to go and they can't let them go.

we should wait to see what they come up with but i doubt it will be anything that most people think will be fair.

    We'll see.

PSL's in premium areas have become ludicrous, even according to Giants' standards. That's not the end, however. The Giants have priced tickets in the better areas waaaaay beyond a reasonable price. Tickets haven't doubled, they've quadrupled, and more.

You don't think 80% of Jets ticketholders will leave, if faced with the same cockamamie program?

    I do!

Dude, we're not the Superbowl Giants.

if anybody in the jets organization thinks they are the giants they should be fired on the spot then be made to stand out in front of the stadium so all of us can laugh at him/her.

one can only hope that they come to their senses and make the psls not too bad. i know this won't happen but one can hope.

personally, anything more than $1,000 per ticket and they can cross me off the list when my name eventually comes up.

We will see what the market bears. I am not paying the psl even at 1k per. i am confident that there will be tickets available for games. Even now you can pick up a season's worth. I hope that the season ticket sales get cut in half. The only question is whether enough corporte sponsors (or corporations) will just pick up the slack and buy the tickets.

Exactly where I'm at. The market determines everything, we'll see what they're worth when nobody buys them.

Coincidentally, half the stadium looks like it was built in the early 1900s and the other half looks like a spaceship.

What I find kinda weird (and encouraging at the same time) is that the Jets have yet to announce any kind of price range. At least it's nice to know they didn't fall in "lockstep" with the Giants right out of the box... they're reviewing what they need to finance THEIR portion of the stadium, so maybe all is not lost where Jets fans are concerned.

I'm sure they're factoring in demand too, because we are NOT the NY Giants right now, so maybe it's as good a time for this to be happening as any. I think the Jets will self destruct their ticket sales if they follow in the footsteps of the Giants right now, just MO.

Perhaps Woody is working on some sort of "creative financing" whereby the Jets won't have to put such a heavy load on their ticketholders. IMO, every day that passes without a formal announcement is one more day they're working on tempering the prices.

I hope you're right about it being encouraging that they have yet to make an announcement. I hadn't thought about it from this perspective and, you're right, it is encouraging.
