Surprised? Probably the only team he wants to go to is Minny. They?re the only team that lets him start and has a shot at the SB.
Well then that means he thinks we have NO shot at the SB. As for being a starter I would say he would immediately leap over KC & to sort of keep the payroll on a even keel we would axe CP which would make him the opening day starter
pretty much everyone thinks we have no shot at the SB. And I don?t think Favre would come here and take over the First Team. Mangini will have him earn it, which shouldn?t be a problem for him. There are some buddys of him in Minny who will hand him everything instantly.
Wow. Could you really find a way to make a few hundred bucks carry you through your golden years?
I don't think Brett tarnished his image. He is on a very short list of greats who ended their careers differently. The season hasn't started yet so if he does stay retired it's almost as it never happened. If he happens to get traded during camp or a few weeks into the season he will join the others who moved on to different teams. History repeating itself. I mean come on. The rumors started the moment he finished his retirement speech. He has a chance to do something great if he were to win another SB with another team. This is a moment of truth for him. GB should have allowed him back and make no announcment of Rodgers being the starter. Hindsight 20/20.
ITA. The commissioner should reinstate him, and let GB trade him. If he refuses to report, his rights, should become the property of the team that traded him, GB should get a 7th, and he should be banned from any non player position indefinitely.
Can you blame him? Really? If I was Green Bay I'd be threatening to trade him to the Jets also, just to get him to back off a bit.
