It's good to see Favre reach out to Coles the way he did...shows class and respect. I'm really encouraged by the line i bolded in the article too.

The sooner Coles moves on, talks to the media and gets it out the way the better. He can come in and say Pennington was my best friends, i loved playing with him etc etc but at the end of the day he is not here anymore and Coles needs to move on and build a rapport with favre.

Sounds like a script straight out of a soap opera.

Hopefully Coles moves on here before the regular season.

this is a non-issue that the media wants to turn into a story. Coles is upset his best friend got cut and he's not playing with him anymore. He will continue to go out and give 100% on Sundays like he always has.

Nothing to see here folks, carry on ...

Coles will be fine. He just needs some time to get over it and to get on the field and play some football. It is a little ridiculous but if he is out there giving 100% who cares. It is after all the media hes not speaking to, not Favre or the rest of his teammates.

i think its funny to stress over Coles' every move and word during the pre and off season, yet when its game time nobody plays harder. Now he's got Favre, who plays just as hard. They'll be fine.

Coles will be fine. Brett cleared the air and was probably the diplomatic Brett we all know and love. Cole is just missing his old buddy, Chad and is apprehensive, because playing with Favre will be different than with Chad.

Yeah, it's probably a whole lot of nothing, but I don't recall any of this 'drama' going on with Jerry Rice when Montana was pushed out to KC and Steve Young took over his buddies position.

We all know that Coles, for better or worse, is a pretty emotional person and that after his first TD from Favre that he'll jump like a little kid into his arms...

This is a non-factor. Cole will be wheeling and dealing with the Dolphins for his last payday. mark it down right now! A tiger never changes its stripes and that tiger will follow suit.:finssuck:

Non issue IMO, just the media wanting to stir the pot. Coles will line up and have a good year with Favre, then he can hang with Chad in FL in the offseason. I hope LC uses this as motivation to dominate.

i'm not being sarcastic. i think brett favre is class act, and he proved that again by reaching out to coles, and doing it in his classic humorous style. if he was the ego-maniac some people are making him out to be, he wouldn't be reaching out to coles and he damn sure wouldn't be running penalty laps.
