So psyched we picked this guy up... he is a ferocious animal... pumps his teamates up, throws offensive players around like rag dolls, etc... I was keying in on watching him very closely, and he NEVER gave up on one play... he smashed someone, somewhere on EVERY single play, even it it was away from the ball... you can tell this guy likes to hit... hopefully the holes in the run d yesterday were an abberation, and we will have a hard hitting, feared defense for once...

Noticed the same thing last night. He is perfect for this defence!

Agreed, last night Pace looked good. I look forward to what Harris, Pace and Gholston CAN be. Lets just see if it happens..:jets:

Pace looked pretty good. Too bad they had him dropping back on most plays. Wish we could of seen him rush the QB more.

Too bad Gholston hasn't done anything yet :-/. He did look better than he did in the last game, but that isn't saying much.

I think it'll take him half the season to get the playbook memorized. He might be like harris was last year. Harris didn't catch my eye in preseason last year, but he didn't have the pressure of a top 6 pick. Harris came in because of Vilmas knee, maybe if someone goes down midseason he'll be ready to go. Only other thing is that Harris had 3-4 experience, Gholston did not.

Yea this guy is a monster i am pumped we picked him up too. I didnt know a thing about this guy before he came to the Jets, all i saw were the numbers. Now that i have seen hime in action i am a believer.

Gholston didnt look horrible out there but you could notice he was out of position or took himself out of the play a few times. But as he gets more comfortable and gets more playing time, which he has gotten in the preseason so far, he should start learning the little things that will help him get better and better.

Anyone else notice Barton was an animal out there?

I'm debating getting a Pace jersey. I don't often get jerseys so to me this is a big deal but it's looking like he'll be a big part of this defense for a while so I think I'll feel good about the purchase. Can't wait to see the D operate in reg season, hopefully with some extraordinary blitzes.

Yeah I noticed Barton that too. I had my questions about him before the preseason, but during this last game he looked pretty solid.

Pace is the one guy I don't notice making a big mistake. He looks like he knows the defense already and seems set to go for the season. Maybe he is ready to big a big contributor.

All I'm asking for is better than Hobson.

Seemed like they got good pressure when Bowens was in the middle rushing the qb with Pace and Gholston on the outside.

Bowens losing 10 lbs was the smartest idea of his career.

barton and pace were in on almost every play. they were absolute ballhawks just like linebackers are supposed to be. first team is lookin good. worried about the depth though. our backups cant do a damn thing out there.
