I apologize if this has already been posted. I've been out all day. K a r m a http://www.nfljuice.com/2008/08/29/breaking-tom-brady-to-miss-2-4-games/ Seeing how we're playing them week 2 I figured it was Jets related.
Odd, how that whole thing is worded. "Miss 2-4 weeks of the season" Doesn't say the first 2-4 weeks. If fact it seems to purposefully not say that. I think this can go in the dead rumor file until somebody else expands on it.
This was off of cbssportsline..my FFL site Tom Brady, QB NE News: Tom Brady was back at practice with the Patriots on Sunday, reports the team's official website. Brady took part in passing drills with the other quarterbacks and showed no signs of being hindered by his recent foot injury.
Right, but with the way this Pats team operates, this can be more bullshit misdirection that they've been doing since the 1st day they videotaped an opponent sideline. If he's out, I'm still not sitting back and calling it a win. I don't know why, but the game has to be over and the Jets with the better score. Here's to the proverbial smoke in the air.
Why did it do everything it could not to say that? The normal flow of words in the english language would have said that. This didn't.
I agree. I hope he is fine, making the Pats a better team and the Jets season a bit more difficult just so your fantasy football team isn't screwed.
I have no idea why it did not specifically say the first 2-4 weeks. What I'm asking you is what else it could possibly mean. Missing weeks 3-7? That doesn't make sense does it? I'm not interested in how the statement is constructed, I'm interested in what else it could possible mean. I'm not denying that it could mean something else, I just can't think of what that may be.
The point I was making was that it seemed like a joke from the beginning. Like he was going to get married and take a long honeymoon or something. I really didn't read anything in that which would make think he was hurt now. There was nothing at all.
