Now, who is the CB that replaces Asante Samuel...lol.

Where is Grogan when you need him?

I am sure he will be here, bright eyed and bushy tailed to tell us.

"Most surprising was their decision to cut CB Fernando Bryant, the player they signed to replace Pro Bowler Asante Samuel, who departed via free agency. They also cut LB Victor Hobson, who started 14 games last year for the New York Jets."

so that leaves them with Meriweather and Hobbs...basically..nobody. I hope Favre has a field day with this situation in week 2.

Hobbs is a fucking JAG. Who is covering Cotchery?

That front 7 better turn into the Steel Curtain if they want to do anything against any team.

I think there will be a Ty Law sighting in the next few days..... Willhite and Wheatley are young, but look pretty decent. It's all about the front 7 pressuring the QB. If they do it, no problem. If not...

    From the Boston Globe..
    Cornerbacks
Ellis Hobbs, Lewis Sanders, Terrence Wheatley, Jonathan Wilhite
Quick hit: Disappointing results from free-agent signings Fernando Bryant and Jason Webster leave this group thin in numbers. Ty Law remains available, but nothing is imminent at this point.

So the great signing of Bryant can't even make the team. Uh-oh...NE is in trouble here I think.

I would agree with Lang on the Ty Law sightings. Hopefully he signs with someone else :)

Since there are enough "Pats sign/release player xy" threads around already, i?m gonna post this here.

    Pats signed Deltha O?Neal.

I don?t like tis one, they showed, in the past that it?s easy to have a lot of scucess in their backfield, and that they can squeeze some good plays out of players from whom many thougt they?re done. II can see him having a good year.

Looks like B.B. has seen enough from the two rookie CB's to give them the Starting and nickle spots. What's funny is you think this is a good thing for the Jets. You don't know their names now, but I'll bet you'll know there names after week 2.

he really is. Its just typical drivel with no bearing what so ever.

Jeaux is actually better than this guy. Its tough to do what Jeaux does. This guy is level one bush league.

Please you guys can cry about how bad the Patriots defense is all you like, it's the off-season after all and we all know the Jets can't be beat in the off-season. I just find it comical that for all the Loud talk Jet fans do in the off-season, the reality always seems to shock them when the games start being played. So keep talking about that weak Pats secondary all you like, then we'll talk about what happened when the Jets fail agin tto beat them in two weeks.

jeaux is fun and a great vehicle to sharpen your argument talons on.

This douche makes arguing about teams depressing, which is ironic because he uses a lot of smileys.

ESPN reports that Lito Sheppard is close to being traded, doesn't say to where, maybe he's on his way to the Pats?

It's amazing to see someone dig his own internet grave with smileys and random alphabetic characters. I'd imagine you are an embarrassment to intelligent Pats fans.
