Well, it's been longer than 3 years since the Patriots cheated their way into a Lombardi Trophy, yet Pats fans still talk like they've won one recently. How long until they stop pretending their team is a Championship team?

I agree with Don, until someone in the AFCE dethrones them, they are still top dawgs.

Also suppose it were to happen this year, the excuse of Brady's shattered foot bone, will have prevented them from dominating again. So best case scenario is after next season is when we see the true fall of the ****Dynasty****

    Well ...

    - Like or dislike the NE Patriots ... fact is they've had a pretty solid team in the past few years. SB win or not, they are still one of NFL's top teams. With that in mind every team playing the NE Patriots still have to bring their "A-Game" if they want to win against them ...

Apparently some of you are having trouble with the definition of a DYNASTY... Division championships do not equal Lombardi's. Just ask the Bills.

Wishful thinking .. Hmm .. Granted the Pats haven't won the past couple years, but they have been in the thick of it every single year with the exception of 2002, and they still went 9-7. Let me place this in prospective .. The last 3 years the Jesters have won a total of 18 games .. So, that's the 2005, 2006, and 2007 seasons combined. Although, they didn't win last year.. The Pats won a total of 18 games in one season .. Think about that .. How is that dynastyesk.. (if that's even a word) .. I, as a fan enjoyed in one season, 3 years of victories worth as you guys ..

Nice misdirection, but what does the Jets record have to do with the fact that the ***dynasty*** is over? That's like saying the Bills' 'Super Bowl runs' were a dynasty because Marino and the Phins failed to get there. Pats fan excuses and misdirection, it's absolutely priceless.

I voted 86 years, BTW.

As much as I dislike the coach, QB and their fans, they've been on a very good run. The reality is they've made a lot of moves that have worked out very well. I'm not saying it's all luck, but even Pats fans would agree that drafting a first ballot HOF QB in the 6th round IS lucky. Without Brady there is no way they would've had the same success.

I gotta go with 86 years, just because the poll starter didn't give me a longer time frame. Terrible poll in that aspect.

  16. Well, if that's what makes you feel better about a 5 year long FIB involving your fav. football team compared to a random one year below average jets team..more power to ya.

Me personally? I will badmouth the fans, I'll badmouth the coach, and ill badmouth certain players for their lack of class and overall arrogance, but I will not proclaim any of their success over until either the jets, buffalo or Miami overtake the AFC East.

W/ that said, there isnt a team or city in sports that deserve to see their recent success plummet more than the Patriots and Boston as a whole.

I've been a Patriot fan since their first season....playing at Nickerson Field and Fenway Park before they got their own home stadium in Foxboro....many losses but lots of memories....

This past decade has been just AWESOME.....sorry for all the haters who haven't sniffed anything close since Broadway Joe led the Jets to a SB win.....maybe someday you'll know that feeling...most posters here weren't even alive then...or were playing in their sandboxes and didn't know what a first down or quarterback was...

Winning with a HOF coach and a HOF QB along with players who are dedicated to a TEAM concept beats losing any day.....

Most of the haters forget there is a SALARY CAP now which tends to even out the playing field for all teams......taking that into consideration, the Patriots have done a fantastic job winning ..... even Rome fell ......Pats will eventually fall also...

    But it's been a HELLOVA RIDE !!

    GO PATS !!

You should start a new poll,,, something like,,,,,"How dumb does a person have to be to belive an 18-1 team isn't dominant?"

If that was the question I would have to vote, "AS STUPID AS AS PERSON CAN LEGALLY BE WITHOUT WEARING HEADGEAR." By the way do you need a pair? I know a guy.
