i don't think you're in the right frame of mind to "judge" who is right and who is dreaming....considering you've been living in the "denial" stage since you arrived here.
It's not me that defines a dynasty, you don't get 3 years off and then win a game and call it a dynasty- that's not how it works. They have been an AFC East dynasty winning every year since '03 but they are no longer an NFL dynasty b/c they haven't won in 4 years. You can bury your head in the sand and believe they still are but they aren't. IF they win it this year it will be seperate from the dynasty years. You must be one of those people who think the Red Sox winning 2 in 4 years(w/ 2 years in btw the titles) is a dynasty:rofl: Compare our drafts in recent years to yours, we have been drafting better for a few years now and to call a player a bust before he plays is silly but what else would we expect from you? Who has predicted NE would fall apart every year? They won't fall apart until the reason they have been great gets hurt or retires and that's tom Brady. The only dreaming in this thread is a Pats fan still thinking NE is a dynasty when they haven't won a Championship in 4 years.
You may very well be right, we are about to find out, but do me a favor and let me know what your going to change your screen name to when you realize the off-season has been the best part of your season.
Only a know nothing joke of a fan would make that comment. Acccording to Pro Football weekly draft results for 2003-2007 #1. New England Patriots 44 total picks 19 on the roster 11 starters 4 pro-bowlers #29 New York Jets 40 total picks 22 on the roster 9 starters 2 pro-bowlers. And that's not even considering how much harder it is for rookies to make the Patriots roster over a cellar dweller like the Jets. Only three teams have had worse draft results than the Jets from 03-07 and no team has had better results then the Patriots. Would you like to continue to make yourself look stupid?
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/don_banks/09/04/crystal.ball/index.html?eref=T1 Speaking of ironman quarterbacks, this will be the year New England finally has to come face to face with its greatest fear: Trying to win a game or three without Tom Brady. We're not predicting major gloom and doom for the Patriots, like a season-ending whatever to the league's reigning MVP. But with New England's offensive line suddenly a point of real concern, protecting the Franchise won't be as seamless as the Patriots have made it look in recent years. While I can't see any opponent succeeding in bum-rushing Brady like the Giants did to great effect in the Super Bowl, I also don't imagine No. 12 is going to have forever and a day to stand back there in the pocket and perform surgery on his opponent's secondary, as was the case so many times in the Patriots' record-breaking 2007 run. Teams are going to be sending the house against Brady this year, because they saw what New York accomplished and will realize anew that giving him time to throw is nothing but a recipe for defeat. Matt Cassel, you've been put on notice. Better be readier than you looked this preseason. Otherwise the only thing the Patriots will be perfectly inclined to this season is a modest losing streak while Brady heals.
Let me sum up,,, teams are going to blitz Brady and try to put pressure on him so he doesn't have time to throw??? You are indeed a wealth of new and shocking information.
Like i said, fucknuts...I've been a Jets fan long enough now that i don't need to hide...so trust me, i won't be changing my screen name for any reason. But i expect you to run for the hills after New England gets a reality check this season. I've also caught some of your posts in other threads...and to be honest...your logic is terrible...to the point where i wonder if your care-givers allow you to use kitchen utensils without corks on the ends...so you don't stab yourself in the eye. And what's with all the smileys?..you've already surpassed the "gaylord" status that comes with smiley abuse...which leads me to believe you're either an unemployed rodeo clown.....or some drooling retard that gets off on all the "pretty" smilies available on this board. Either way, it's pathetic.
Little boy, all the insults in the world won't change the disapointment your about to face, and truth be told I'm going to love every second of it.
hahaha...little boy..that's cute. there must be absolutely no pain or strife in your reality...it must be all hugs, kisses, cupcakes and puppies. Are there Sharon, Lois, and Bram songs consistently being played in your world?
what's the matter, troll.....did i hurt your feelings? sometimes the truth has that effect on people. douchebag.
There must be a reason why they list NE as #1 there and the Jets as #29 but it certainly isn't in the numbers. Jets - 4 less picks, 3 more on the roster, 2 less starters and 2 less pro-bowlers. Makes no sense at all based on those. BTW, here is a dose of reality. The Jets will win many more than 4 games this year and the Pats will win at least several less than 16. That will insure that we are all still here and you are long gone or here under a new name.
As far as the recent drafts, all I really care about are what the current regime has done. Since Tannenbaum and Mangini took over, our drafts have been great. They have selected six starters and 8 reserves in only 3 drafts. Four of these guys could be considered for the Pro Bowl this year: Revis, Harris, Mangold and Leon Washington (ST). Also don't forget 3 UDFA and 4 practice squad guys who have become reserves. That's a pretty good eye for talent.
You conveniently start in 2003 but that's 6 drafts ago. We have done better the past 3-4 years w/ guys like rhodes, revis, harris, Mangold, Leon, brick,... No one you have drafted since '05 is as good as Harris, rhodes or revis. 2005-2008: Pats: 2008 1 1 10 10 Jerod Mayo LB Tennessee 2 2 31 62 Terrence Wheatley DB Colorado 3 3 15 78 Shawn Crable LB Michigan 4 3 31 94 Kevin O'Connell QB San Diego State 5 4 30 129 Jonathan Wilhite DB Auburn 6 5 18 153 Matt Slater WR UCLA 7 6 31 197 Bo Ruud LB Nebraska 2007 1 1 24 24 Brandon Meriweather DB Miami (FL) 2 4 28 127 Kareem Brown DT Miami (FL) 3 5 34 171 Clint Oldenburg T Colorado State 4 6 6 180 Justin Rogers LB Southern Methodist 5 6 28 202 Mike Richardson DB Notre Dame 6 6 34 208 Justise Hairston RB Central Connecticut St. 7 6 35 209 Corey Hilliard T Oklahoma State 8 7 1 211 Oscar Lua LB USC 9 7 37 247 Mike Elgin G Iowa 2006 1 1 21 21 Laurence Maroney RB Minnesota 2 2 4 36 Chad Jackson WR Florida 3 3 22 86 Dave Thomas TE Texas 4 4 9 106 Garrett Mills TE Tulsa 5 4 21 118 Stephen Gostkowski K Memphis 6 5 3 136 Ryan O'Callaghan G California 7 6 22 191 Jeremy Mincey DE Florida 8 6 36 205 Dan Stevenson G Notre Dame 9 6 37 206 Le Kevin Smith DT Nebraska 10 7 21 229 Willie Andrews DB Baylor 2005 1 1 32 32 Logan Mankins G Fresno State 2 3 20 84 Ellis Hobbs DB Iowa State 3 3 36 100 Nick Kaczur G Toledo 4 4 32 133 James Sanders DB Fresno State 5 5 34 170 Ryan Claridge LB Nevada-Las Vegas 6 7 16 230 Matt Cassel QB USC 7 7 41 255 Andy Stokes TE William Penn Jets: 2008 1 1 6 6 Vernon Gholston DE Ohio State 2 1 30 30 Dustin Keller TE Purdue 3 4 14 113 Dwight Lowery DB San Jose State 4 5 27 162 Erik Ainge QB Tennessee 5 6 5 171 Marcus Henry WR Kansas 6 7 4 211 Nate Garner T Arkansas 2007 1 1 14 14 Darrelle Revis DB Pittsburgh 2 2 15 47 David Harris LB Michigan 3 6 3 177 Jacob Bender T Nicholls State 4 7 25 235 Chansi Stuckey WR Clemson 2006 1 1 4 4 D'Brickashaw Ferguson T Virginia 2 1 29 29 Nick Mangold C Ohio State 3 2 17 49 Kellen Clemens QB Oregon 4 3 12 76 Anthony Schlegel LB Ohio State 5 3 33 97 Eric Smith DB Michigan State 6 4 6 103 Brad Smith WR Missouri 7 4 20 117 Leon Washington RB Florida State 8 5 18 150 Jason Pociask TE Wisconsin 9 6 20 189 Drew Coleman DB Texas Christian 10 7 12 220 Titus Adams DT Nebraska 2005 1 2 15 47 Mike Nugent K Ohio State 2 2 25 57 Justin Miller DB Clemson 3 3 24 88 Sione Pouha DT Utah 4 4 22 123 Kerry Rhodes DB Louisville 5 5 25 161 Andre Maddox DB North Carolina State 6 6 8 182 Cedric Houston RB Tennessee 7 6 24 198 Joel Dreessen TE Colorado State 8 7 26 240 Harry Williams WR Tuskegee You appear to be the King of stupidity so I guess you are qualified to call someone stupid, anyone who calls a player a bust before they have played a reg season game has to be stupid. You guys had more talent to start w/ which is why you have been better and you have the best player in the league and one of the best QBs of all time. W/o him our teams are pretty similar. I'm not sure why anyone posts w/ you as you are clearly a troll but I thought I'd humor myself today. Please continue to post your asinine posts so we can continue to laugh at you.
It's not a dynasty unless your consistently winning all the marbles and they did not the last 2 or 3 years. Maybe if they hadn't choked (I like that word) last february but they did choke big time.
Honestly...They weren't as good as that record showed. They played a weak schedule and got VERY lucky down the stretch. A lot of glitz and glamour...but really that was it.
