Sunday 1:00 Raiders at Saints Bears at Falcons Dolphins at Texans Ravens at Colts Lions at Vikings Panthers at Buccaneers Rams at Redskins 4:05 Jaguars at Broncos 4:15 Cowboys at Cardinals Eagles at 49ers Packers at Seahawks 8:15 Patriots at Chargers Monday Giants at Browns ___ No Joe Buck this week because of the baseball playoffs. Dick Stockton will substitute on the #1 FOX broadcast team with Troy Aikman and Pam Oliver. They will work the Cowboys-Cardinals game. This is the first time Aikman will call a Cardinals game and this is his 7th season with the #1 FOX crew (and 8th season overall). The Cardinals are finally worth showing to a large audience. This is the most meaningful Cowboys-Cardinals tilt since the regular season game in Arizona in 1998 and the subsequent playoff match of the same season. The Cowboys swept the Cardinals in the regular season (38-10 in Dallas and 35-28 in Arizona), but the Cardinals vanquished the Cowboys in the playoffs 20-7. The regular season game in Arizona featured the most elaborate end zone paint job I've ever seen. Among other things, the Arizona state flag was painted onto each end zone.
Dolphins add new wrinkle to Wildcat Formation...Flea flicker to Penny and a 53 yard bomb to Patrick Cobbs.
the bad fantasy decision of the week goes to... ME! For somehow starting Jake Delhomme over Peyton Manning. If Delhomme was facing a bad pass defense, maybe I could understand... but he was facing the Bucs!
wait, I didn't actually bench Manning. I just thought I did. Phew. I did claim Willis McGahee off waivers and then start him, though. Bad decision there.
During the week, I was all set to start Matt Ryan and JaMarcus Russell in my two Carson Palmer leagues today. Then, this weekend I switched to David Garrard and Gus Frerotte, respectively. Frerotte over Russell appears to have been a good move. Got me a couple extra measly points. Ryan has been good today, so Garrard has to have a big game.
Looks like that Lane Kiffin guy wasn't so bad after all. We could use him as QB coach. Daboll has that job now, but he played safety at a div III school. No wonder KC isn't progressing.
Regarding Penny and Da Bomb, people forget that he is just as pin point accurate on a long throw as he is on a short throw. If the offense can get the safety off the deep receiver, usually with play action, Penny can make those highlight plays.
