Not only got a sack and forced fumble, but consistent pressure all day, and stopped the run. Everything that Adalius Thomas does or supposedly does he does and he is younger and may be even a little better. With him, BT, and Gholston (who personally I thought had some nice pressures and almost got a sack at the end), the pass rush looks to be in great shape. Thoughts?
Yup...When the Jets signed Pace...Some fans were saying how we paid way to much $$$ for this guy, some called him a one year wonder with Arizona... All I kept saying was this... Miami and Parcells were going after Pace with GUNS BLAZING...For a reason, the man is an animal and the perfect OLB for just about any 3-4 Defense. And Mangini and Sutton seen that. He had over 100 tackles last year and something like 80+ solo tackles...That spoke volumes in itself
Pace has quickly become my fav. player on the team(aside from perhaps Brick). He brings 100% every play, and has a rare blend of speed and size. He keeps up this pace(no pun intended) he should be in the pro bowl.
My question is this...How many sacks do we have as a team this year? This comp is 2 slow and I'm 2 lazy to check it out!
I cant argue with that one...But what if we had Montgomery starting over Faneca as our starting LG? What would our record be? 3-2? Prolly not. As a fan of the trenches...I gotta say that Faneca has been our best FA pick up...
+1 I'll say it again...Calvin Pace is going to be a star in NY. He's got the whole....Mike Vrabel story going for him...but he's less of a prick.
Tell you the truth I didn't know anything about him until this year--Great Football Player. Pro Bowl I think.
For a player I never heard about before this year, he's excellent. Really, a perfect fit for the 3-4, because he's probably undersized with the 4-3. But his speed and agility show that he's a legitimate 1st rounder, and right now on the path for the pro-bowl.
