I don't blame most of the players honestly. The only player who really stood out to me today as a real turd piece of shit was Sione Pouha... but even that goes back on to the coaches for letting him play to begin with.
Jones was great today. Makes things harder to explain in terms of how did they lose. They had the running game, but could not feed off of it?
and majority of the defense for that matter they did what they had to do they played a solid game and shut down the run well
It's too bad our wonderful staff didn't give Jones the ball the first three quarters when he was getting ten yards a pop. They wouldn't have even needed OT if they committed to the run sooner.
they should have pounded jones in OT from the 1st play. that d-line was shot from the end of the 4th qtr
Look, I love the guy. His jersey is on my back. But the bottom line is this: Favre had a piss-poor game.
The bottom line is........the Jets are not that good. I don't blame TJ, how could you? Leon: Cost us 3 points. Favre: Cost us 3 points Schotty: Cost us 30 points. Jets D: Solid.
Yep, good game by Jones. Not so good for Washington who muffed a punt, killed a drive by not catching a toss and fumbling it backwards, and dropping a catch that would have been for a first down.
Favre threw two passes in OT alone that should have been gimmie interceptions. There are people on this board blaming conservative play calling for the loss. But is it really conservative to give the ball to Jones when he is averaging 6.6 yards per carry???
I have a question for you actually. Did you change your name to match the year? Are you the artist formerly known as NYJ2K05 (or at least I think that's what it was)? I don't mean this as an insult at all if it is you, but you have really come down from that sunshiner side! You used to be the most optimistic person I ever read on this board, and now everything I read is the exact opposite! 100% ignore this post if you're not the same as that guy haha.
I want him to actually juke the safety and get us in the end zone!! God knows we can't get there in any other way....
Yeah, he had a good game. But does it really matter? We lost to a horrid team, next 2 games are must wins.
He played great. Which is why I wondered why the JETS did this... New York Jets at 02:56 in 4th quarter 1-10-NYJ 21 (2:52) 4-B.Favre pass incomplete short middle to 87-L.Coles (23-D.Hall). 2-10-NYJ 21 (2:40) (Shotgun) 4-B.Favre sacked at NYJ 13 for -8 yards (93-T.Kelly). 3-18-NYJ 13 (2:25) (Shotgun) 4-B.Favre pass deep right intended for 89-J.Cotchery INTERCEPTED by 23-D.Hall at 50. 23-D.Hall to NYJ 40 for 10 yards (29-L.Washington). There was still time on the clock to advance the ball on the ground and we'd hardly done a thing in the air up until then.??? I dunno??
played his ass of today, now let me ask you....if your rb is avging 6.6 ypc... where the fuck is the god damn playaction??
Not sure about this one? 0 takeaways, 1 SACK, gave Russell all day back there. Only the Run D was stout, especially on downs we expected them to run. I think it may be time to abandon the zone coverages; they don't seem to work, and our DB's just look confused and uncoordinated. Oh and as for Eric Smith, please for the love of God, cut him now.
Typical Jets. The one area we needed the most improvement on was solid today, and all others that we thought were fine totally vanished. Ugh.
