Was it that bad, what Davis did? No. But he plays like shit, doesn?t know the playbook and thinks he?s a superstar, because he ran a great 40 3 years ago. And when he gets the ball, he does something stupid like that.

Kicking a player?s ass when he screws up is something coaches seem to be afraid of today. Way to go Mike!

I agreed with what he did. Davis slapped another player? C'mon now...

Yep, I really think that he is going to be a very good head coach.

I saw the press conference when Singletary was commenting. He is great man. I loved his ethics of the game and passion as well.

Kudos for getting blown out by the Seahawks at home. I didn't know that was possible, with all the players Seattle is missing.

Well something tells me Davis just lost an insane amount of PT in san fran. Honestly I agreed with what Sanders said, Davis just doesnt give a flying fuck. he could care less, and is happy as long as he is getting a paycheck. Which is dissapointing, because the guy could really dominate as a player with all of his physical tools.

that said way to go Singletary! stop babying these mother fucking assholes. they make more money than god himself, its about time somebody bitched them out for poor performance. I agree with the sentiment that Singletary has one heck of a future as a Head coach, sadly enough, I hope he flat out bombs in san fran this year, so that they bring in sombody else, so he can either come be our DC, or he gets a chance to start over from scratch without the guys in san fran, who i truly believe he doesnt want more than like 4 guys on that entire team.

That's what I was thinking. Plenty of coaches can blow up at a press conference(Herm, Dennis Green) and put on a good emo show and what not, it doesn't make them good coaches.

That was a breath of fresh air. Of course, if the team mutinies on Singletary, he's gonna be out of a job. Hopefully he is smart enough to use Davis as an example to get everyone's attention rather than pulling this stuff every week, because I don't think that will work. Still, it was awesome to see him tell Davis to get his stuff and take a walk. That's something you NEVER see in the pros, and rarely in college I would think. High School coaches on the other hand, can pull that stuff off.

    Fire Mangina, hire Singletary! :)

The Ravens players and staff loved him when he was their linebackers coach. It was just a matter of time before this guy was going to get a head coaching job.

I wrote the following on this board in September-
"Mike Singletary is going to be a good head coach. Therefore, he will never be the Jets head coach."

So just forget about it. The next Jets head coach will likely be another jerk off.

Singletary has long been one of my favorite people associated with the NFL. Now I can add him to my short list of head coaches I genuinely like (Jeff Fisher, Singletary, Jim Zorn, Ken Whisenhunt, and Tom Coughlin).
