I used to have a sig that said "I will destroy Don Banks if it's the last thing I do." I hate this guy, I really do. Here's his latest gem: This guy talked nothing but smack about the Favre signing pre-season. What's more, he doesn't bother addressing the fact that New England's first, second and third running back are out, their precious Harrison is finished and their best linebacker just hit injured reserve. They've also got games against the playoff bound Pittsburgh and Arizona, a revenge game at Buffalo week 17 and they've lost the tie-breaker to the Colts. (Funny how that always used to determine byes/home-field advantage and now it's for a berth). Steelers, Ravens, Dolphins, Colts, Chargers and Broncos all looked poised for a late season playoff run. Pats have beaten the weakest of those six and lost to three others. New England's missing the playoffs. Write it down, Donnie Brasco, you hack.
Why??? Is it because he casts doubts on your dreams of the Jets doing anything this season? Or maybe he just see's what's coming, as most none Jet fans can clearly see. How many times have Jet fans overrated their team and players just to have reality come slap them down? To listen to Jet fans here you would think the Jets just beat the 70 Steelers and not a 2-7 team that turned the ball over 5 times.
This is a Jets board Troll. Why did they unban you anyway? If you don't like it, too bad deal with it...
It's his "opinion" but to say the Pats are already guaranteed a playoff spot and that the bills are already eliminated is ludicrious Jets-Pats game this Thursday will be a huge and exciting game to see which team will be where.
Do you realize that the Bill are now three games back for any shot at a divison tie-breaker? It's not a huge leap at all to say the Bills are pretty much out of it at least as far as the division title anyway. We agree thursdays game is huge, a Pats win and the division is theirs to lose, a Jets win and it's the same thing.
I don't harbor any illusions when it comes to Boston-based sportswriters. Don Banks would have difficulty walking out his front door or shopping at his local market, if he didn't drop an occasional wet-one on the Kraft family circus.
