Round One: 4 D'Brickshaw Ferguson (LT, our biggest need) 29 Manny Lawson (OLB/DE, 3-4 pass rush) Round Two: 35 Joseph Addai (Well rounded RB to replace C-Mart) Round Three: 71 Ryan O'Callaghan (Future RT, depth) 97 Reggie McNeal (QB to groom for the future) Round Four: 103 Babatunde Oshinowo (NT for the future, shouldn't need him right away) 117 Stanley McClover (DE/OLB Pass rusher, groom behind Kimo) Round Five: 138 Chris Kuper (OG sleeper) Round Seven: 211 Brian Iwuh (S) 217 Marques Colston (WR/TE)
I have Jacobs ranked higher than McNeal, but remember our second pick in round 3 is #97 - the last pick. That is why I have McNeal as our selection, because I think Jacobs would be gone by then.
I was going to post mine in a new thread, but since you had one already created I hope you don't mind me putting mine here. Without any trades happening 1a D'Brickashaw Ferguson OT Virginia 1b Max Jean-Gilles OG Georgia 2 Gabe Watson NT Michigan 3a Brodie Croyle QB Alabama 3b Dusty Dvoracek DT Oklahoma 4 Gerald Riggs Jr. RB Tennessee 5 Lawrence Vickers FB Colorado 7a Delanie Walker WR Central Missouri St. 7b Melvin Oliver DE LSU
I woudl like that draft...but I would like to see us pick up Maroney at #29 and look at Bobby Carpenter at #35. I also wouldn't mind picking up Stovall in the 3rd round. I like Stovall a lot and we could use a tall athletic receiver to complement Coles.
Max Jean-Gilles will NOT be our #29 pick. That would be ridiculous. This guy is good but Kiper is projecting this guy to go in the 3rd Round. There are much more talented players that we could use in the first round.
- Ouch Reggie McNeal at QB... In the 3rd Round. Ouch - LT our biggest need? I don't think there's even a player on the roster at RT. - Not crazy about Addai either. - But not a bad draft...
i say trade down to #9 aquire number 40 as well 1a. winston justice 1b. lendale white 2a nick mangold 2b. gabe watson 3a. deuce lutui og usc 3b. brandon marshall wr central florida 4a kellen clemons qb oregon 4b devin hester wr/cb alright i dont want to do the last rounds
You forgot our other 4th rounder... and there is no way I want Riggs, when Houston started over him when 100% healthy.
I'm with you, I really like Iwuh but McNeil might be a nice project player but in no way can this team use a 3rd on a project player.
this is my mock: Round Pick # Player Position School 1 4 D'Brickashaw Ferguson OT Virginia 1 29 Bobby Carpenter LB Ohio State 2 35 Joseph Addai RB L.S.U. 3 71 Ryan O'Callaghan OT California 3 97 Julien Jenkins DE Stanford 4 103 Marcus Maxey CB Miami (Fl) 4 117 Kevin Boothe OG Cornell 5 138 Le Kevin Smith NT Nebraska 7 211 Clint Ingram OLB Oklahoma 7 217 Jeromey Clary OT Kansas St
