Perfect pass and great catch but all in vain so what's the big deal. I'm more concerned with the play of the Jets in the second half. Coaching to conservative? It's shit luck when the game hinges on the flip of a coin.
Again people for the 1000nth time (there is a thread on this already but apparently not everyone is aware of that), there was no runoff BECAUSE THE CLOCK WAS ALREADY STOPPED. The rule only applies when the clock is still running. The reason for this should be obvious . . . but just in case it isn't: The only point of the rule is to prevent teams who are trying to come back at the end of the game from intentionally committing penalties to stop the clock, and therefore, essentially using penalties as timeouts. Again, the rule ONLY applies if the clock is running when the penalty occurs. End of discussion.
I agree, they were on the 20 yd line and anything underneath that Welker ran that did not make it to the endzone meant game over. Mangini should have known the ball was going to Moss and switched Revis onto Moss and let Lowery or Law take Welker who ran his normal underneath route.
I thought it was legit, he seemed to have the right foot down when he made the catch. Couldn't tell 100%...but they didn't have enough to overturn it. no matter now...it only made the win that much more dramatic.
true but the refs cant watch it 50 times and the call on the field was a td...the refs totally got it right...sorry dude...
Oh well, it would appear I may have had my Jet blinders on. But I switch it to a front angle and his foot is clearly off the ground. But no big deal I am wrong the rest of the world is right no big deal we win ...I no longer care Let the stress for the Titans game begin.
I do not think it was a catch--However, no ref on the planet would have overturned it when it was that close, the last play of the game, and in front of the home crowd.
