If there was ever a team where we could single-cover their WRs, this is it. Leave the safeties deep, use man coverage on their WRs, have Revis cover Scaife because that's gonna be Collins's go-to guy and blitz early and often.

On offense, use Thomas Jones and Dustin Keller as decoys up the middle and beat them on the outside with Leon and the WRs.

The key to the game is to stop the run and to run effectively on offense. The team that throws more often and for more yards is probably going to lose this game.

The Titans have a much less talented WR core and a very different offensive philosophy. The Jets have talent in the defensive backfield outside of Revis, this is a game where that talent needs to come up big. And while that might not be comforting to some Jets fans, I think we can agree that when it comes to Tennessee it makes more sense to take away the run than it does the pass.

everyone here is saying stop the run and play coverage, not going to happen! the jets will have to stack the box to stop our run game and that will leave one on one situations w/ wr's and or te's and collins know how to read a d so we will just burn u with the pass just like everyone else that has focused on stopping the run.

it sure sounds alot easier than it is going to be to stop our run game. one dt in the middle is not going to do it even if he is haynesworth calliber.

again good luck to your jets and heres to a great game.

The reason we've Collins successfully throw the ball the past couple weeks is because the run has been ineffective, though one of those was because the Jags took an early lead. Jenkins has done a good job of stopping the run this year, the guy is an absolute monster in the middle. And one DT makes a HUGE difference when that DT is a 3-4 nose. He's the cornerstone of that defense and is doing a damn good job.

The Jets have perhaps the best corner in the league in Revis and he can blanket and shut down half the field. Add in the excellent safety they have in Rhodes and the experience and press-coverage skills they have from Law and the Titans WRs could have some trouble getting open. The best bet for throwing the ball is hitting Johnson out of the backfield or taking advantage of their weak (in coverage) lb corp. I think moving the ball on this Jets defense is easier said than done as well.

It will be a good and interesting game. As a Giants fan I will be watching both these teams with great interest...

I can’t remember when the last time I was as fired up as I am for a game to start. With the Thursday game – I feel like I haven’t watched Jets football in weeks. I can’t wait until Sunday.

What sucks is as a long suffering Jets fan – I don’t ever remember this eager anticipation paying off with glory on Sunday – but eff’ it…I’m still pumped. My heart is strong enough to withstand another hole if that’s all they can do for me.

Decoys??? No. Use those athletes the way they're supposed to used. And for some reason if they're stopped or if there's double-coverage, then look to other players. Decoys?.... We don't need trick plays. We can take these boys. None of the numbers in their win column came from us... lets put the burden on them to figure out how to beat us!
