How Favre unwound after Sunday's game: Shooting Stuff

Long ago, I made the personal decision not to kill animals for sport. I'm not still a total vegetarian, but I try to avoid eating anything I could not kill.

However, I respect hunters. My father was an avid hunter.

Responsible adults cannot force their personal beliefs on other people. Period.
If more people understood this basic principle, the world (and this message board) would be a much better place.

that's exactly what i thought when i read your op...what's it to you? why do you care enough to call him out for hunting? go be a pats fan, their QBs model. thats more respectable.

brush up on your vocabulary too, it's a little off kilter for a guy who is already out in the world making a living

I have no idea what that photo is, but I thought 'honkeys' referred to all white people. Why do you attribute it only to country folk? Look up the word paraphrase. Also, I was joking, asking what this story is and how it showed Favre's really 'country'. The other guy's was a rant. Learn the difference.

Wake up and smell the 21st century??? Damn, you can't even say (type) a colloquialism correctly. What does the 21st century have to do with what we're talking about?

You do realize that Brett does bow hunt, don't you?

BTW, after reading your post I went and made myself a venison steak. I didn't need to kill that deer as my freezer was full of food, but your comments inspired me to go out and murder a helpless animal just for fun.

I took down a deer with my car once. Had venison for two weeks. Yummy!

    LMAO!

I've tagged a few deer with my cars, too, over the years. One put a nice dent in my right front fender, fukker jumped right on my car, I swear.

Two others I hit dead on with the license plate holder - what luck. Not a single dent.

Hey, I work in NYC, a commuter, I don't hunt, but I find NYC residents who complain about hunting to be woefully uninformed and annoying. I have no problem with people who like to hunt.

I do remember as a kid driving up the Parkway in NJ and picking up two hunters who one had just wounded the other - no kidding. I did think that was kind of dumb, but...

I've also had Lyme's Disease pretty bad, so as far as deer are concerned, I wish someone would pretty much wipe them out. You realize there are more deer in North America than when the Pilgrims landed? F those vermin.

No, you can bow hunt and gun hunt in NJ, it is bow season now for deer....gun season starts 12/08/08.

    Small game season is open...

Can't hunt at night (?)...even on private property without a special permit.

    It's duck season.....wabbit season....duck season...wabbit season.

Then that settles it and ought to pacify the whiner(s) in this thread, at least temporarily.

Really, no need to hunt them here, they walk right into your yard and wait for you.

So because its applications are broad, it loses its derogatory meaning? I have no idea how your post addresses what I said. My point was you blasted off with rural jerkoffs out of nowhere, when the guy you were responding to only said "New Yorkers" with no slanderous prefix. He said jerkoffs but aimed at a group of people not based on location, which is a dumb reason to get a "jerkoff" tag in the first place. Get it? Then you try to smooth it over in your edit saying you were paraphrasing? And you're the one who oughta check up on the dictionary:

    Paraphrasing:
    par⋅a⋅phrase
    noun, verb, -phrased, -phras⋅ing.
?noun 1. a restatement of a text or passage giving the meaning in another form, as for clearness; rewording.
    2. the act or process of restating or rewording.

You didn't paraphrase at all, you responded. You just unravelled your apparent deep seeded animosity for the rural areas of this country and starting puking out shit on this thread.

Colloquialism? So people up north don't say wake up and smell ...? The 21st century: times are changing not everyone is an ignorant jackass, and not everyone believes rural jerkoffs are the majority in rural areas. The picture was pointing out there are probably more jerkoffs around you than you're willing to point out to yourself when in an argument defensing goold ol' NY. Nice smiley display.

It is the process that excites, playing the game according to rules and a lot of people do just that. It bonds fathers with their children and even grandparents with grandchildren. Do I hunt deer? No but only because I prefer beef, fish and chicken to venison and waterfowl but to each his own.

In NJ, try bears, and raccoons, and possum, and rabbits too. Not just deer.

On his own property, she says, and on his own property your respect is certainly not required.

    Stick to football, Ouchy.

Lets hope Favre is not a complete douche because if I read about him shooting himself while he was relaxing i will be pissed. Everyone who has been a jets fan knows that this organization is jinxed and it would not surprise me to hear about Favre shooting himself and then the bullet ricocheted around and shooting the entire OL too.
