Ratliff is as good an athlete as Quinn, Anderson and Cassel. The reason Ratliff went undrafted is that he followed notorious bust Alex Smith at Utah. Same spread offense, same school, QB also from CA, it was just too similar to the Smith situation so he fell. Being a good athlete doesn't mean your gonna be a good QB, but I think Ratliff can be as good as those other three. And I think Jet fans have given up on Ainge too soon. KC can be a decent backup, its nice to have a mobile backup so if the play breaks down he can improvise and KC is good at that. Our QB situation is okay, what we really need is a decent QB coach. Brian Daboll played safety in college at a Div III school, we need a real QB coach, someone like Kiffin.

If we can get Brett to come back next year – Donavan will get run out of Philthy and we can pick him up the following.

I think we should try to get both. Offer them a lot and maybe they'll go for it.

    If Brett retires!

Quinn definitely has more upside than Anderson but Anderson showed how good a QB he can be when he has a dominant offensive line and a good running game like he had last year. I would offer them a 4th round pick or KC and have Ratliff backing him up.

I don't think that they will let either one go until they know who they feel is better.

And if they ditch one, I'm not sure sure we'd want him.

Something makes me think we will experience one season at least with Kellen at the helm, and to be honest, I'd like to see it.....just not until all of Favre's magic is gone for good.

    Haha..KC for Quinn? In your dreams. A 1st for a failed 2nd. I don't think so.

Clemens will NEVER (read my lips - NEVER) be the starting QB of the Jets barring an injury to whomever really is the starter. If you couldn't figure that out after this spring then turn on the lightbulb now.

that's the issue right there. the best qb prospects are all underclassmen and the only real sr. prospect, graham harrell, was exposed badly as a fraud against ou. aside from him, the best 3 prospects are likely sam bradford, matthew stafford and colt mccoy, none of whom i'm impressed by. IF we were to look for a qb of the future outside of the organization(i'd personally like to see ratty get a shot), i actually do think the better option would be to go after anderson or quinn.

but like i said, i'm highly opposed to going after a young qb right now as i'd like to see ratty get a shot.

Quinn goes nowhere. He can do no wrong in his home state of Ohio. Cleveland fans can't stand Anderson. I personally think he is a flash in the pan and has been exposed.

I'll pass and take Brett for 1 more.

I would LOVE to have Quinn. I was made that the Jets passed on him at the time of the draft(I didn't know how Revis would turn out) but I felt we needed a QB at the time I'm also a Notre Dame fan.

Ratliff is looking like the QB of the future. After all his first name is Brett. How bad could he be?

Quinn and Anderson are a bunch of pretty boys. I think they should both go to the CFL.
