This of course was a very disappointing (and disgusting loss). But -- we are the Falcons, Saints, Dolphins ... etc ... we are mediocre with a couple of good wins. I am not headed for the window -- because I think we are exactly an 8-5 team. Tenn was/is a fraud -- and will be further exposed. Patriots are as good as they can be without TB. You can say what you want about the Defense -- the offense has been awful for the last 2 weeks.

I am not treating this loss as if we should have won -- we are not good enough to "should" win anything.

Can we 2 of the last 3?

    Well see.

Hey, rationality. How about that? The sad part is that it looks like the pieces are in place to do more, and it looked like we were peaking two weeks ago. Apparently not.

Mangini needs to stop being so consistent because his consistent approach sucks a dick. All the talent is there, the coaching sucks and it starts at the top.

There are four million "fire everyone threads." This team was 4-12 and now 8-8 or better. They are 8-5 because thats how good they are. They could not have and should not have won the 5 games -- because they do not have that kind of talent.

THey need to win 2 of 3 now. Thats all.

Giants last year were 8-4....9-4....9-5...10-5...10-6.....middle of the pack

I don't give a fuck how many fire everyone threads there are. You are what your record says your are is a tired cliche. This team will not go far if the CS sticks with the "consistent approach" they've been taking because it sucks a big horse cock.

The Jets have more talent than any other 8-5 team in the league. The CS needs to get there heads out of there asses. For real.

Is it never the players fault? Is never the fact that the other team did something smart too? You make it out like we have the talent to win 13 games but how do you really know that?

The lack of talent, not much can be done about, at this point.

The lack of effort, passion, energy on the field -- and apparent cavalier approach to this game in general -- whatever you want to call it, was sickening.

When you string together losses in December, YOU GO HOME. Coaching, Coaching, Coaching.

Agreed. The players were hardly ever in a position to make plays. No in-game adjustments. No attempt at generating a pass rush.

I saw a lot of blown coverages today...3rd and 1 and there was no one within 10 yards of the wide receiver. Whose to blame there. Leon Washington 5 yards rushing . Coles has 2 games in a row with 1 catch . How is Tight end not getting passed to. what happened to those quick 7 yarders we saw against Titans. Anything would have been better than what we saw today

You are what your record says you are -- is not cliche -- but saying that we should be better than 8-5 -- is based on nothing. At the beginning of the year -- many here said 6-10 or 7-9. Favre comes in -- and most people thought it was a great move -- but made us 9-7 or 10-6. Look where we are. You think with better coaching we should be 10-3 with a chance to go 13-3. PuhLeeze.

We're an 8-5 team, BUT WE'RE NOT PLAYING LIKE OUR RECORD SAYS WE SHOULD BE PLAYING.

We lost bad to a 5-8 team, so that's where we are.

We also beat a 12-1 team, so we must be there too.

We are a solid team, that's it. Everyone is going crazy saying we should be 10-3, but we shouldn't. We have a solid passing game, very good rushing game, horrible pass rush, and inconsistent secondary.

However, if we get in the playoffs, we're as dangerous as anybody. Outside of Pittsburgh, there is no real powerhouse in the AFC. We can beat Tennessee, we can beat Indy. Denver presents a problem for us though.

Do you honestly believe this is the same team that beat up the Titans 3 weeks ago? We're as good as the last game we played, and we suck right now. Suck hard.

They're an 8-5 team that is getting worse, not better. To say 8-5 is 8-5 is too simplistic. Do you see the Ravens playing right now? They started the day at 8-4 like the Jets, now tell me which 8-4 team is better or were they both the same quality team at the start of the day?

The CS has been making foolish decisions, and failed to adjust to what teams have been doing since the second half of the Pats game. They're lucky the Titans didn't use the same approach or they'd likely be 7-6 right now instead of 8-5.

Good teams and coaching staffs improve over the course of the season. The Jets are regressing and showing no signs of improvement. You need to consistently improve in this league or you won't be winning in January. Unless the CS can change things IMMEDIATELY this season is as good as over.

Anything less than 3-0 down the stretch will likely result in no playoffs.

The Ravens would MURDER us, and the Seahawks and Dolphins are licking their chops right now. I am not even guaranteeing a win vs Buffalo.
