What a way to win today. I just finished watching the highlights on NFL Network and it really pumped me up. The defense looked bad all day, but with 2:06 to go they stepped up with a huge Sack/Fumble by Abram Elam and a recovery for a TD by the Big Katt. It was awesome! Then Revis picked off Losman on the very next offensive play for Buffalo, finally Rhodes picked off Losman on the last play of the game. What a great ending. Thank the Lord, instead of looking at the bad, think about how good this ending was. People talking about luck, guess what? The Jets never have any. I think we need to appreciate this victory and how exciting the ending was. Lets take this show on the road. Seattle is next. Keep the Faith!
Yeah, I love the picture of Revis. He is a winner, no doubt about it. The Jets could have quit in this game, especially the Defense, but they didn't.
It's a good thing Ellis got that fumble recovery because he didn't do a damn thing the rest of the game.
People are way too upset with the Jets right now. Its crazy to me. The Jets were (4-12) last year, now (9-5) already 5 games better than 2007 with 2 more to go. The Jets always find a way to blow games or let their fanbase down, so how can the Broncos/49ers losses surprise anybody? I am just happy the Jets have games that mean something going into Week 16. On paper, the Jets look like they put together a solid team, but remember, they are the Jets so anything can happen any game.
Some of us are Jets and Mets fans which adds to the general Jet fan angst  Besides yes we were 4-12 but it's not like it's the same team. They were supposed to be better, hell some would argue they were supposed to be a playoff team to start with and expectations got amped up to a ridiculous level after the road wins at NE and Tennessee. This game was almost a carbon copy of the KC game, play like crap, pull one out of the fire late with a miracle finish. Hopefully this sparks the team to a roll the way that game did.
I have not seen a team of mine win a world championship since 2000. I have plenty of angst as a sports fan following the Jets #1 and the Capitals, Yankees and Wizards.
miracle at the Meadowlands part II?? while it is very true we are luckier than hell. Granted there are times in a season when a little bit of luck is needed to get by. Hell if that ball doesnt hit coles in the foot, and bounce into Poslusny's hands, the bills may never recover and make it that close. So luck is luck. If you are good at what you do, you can create your own luck.
Those are truly some sweet pics. Looking at them made me feel a bit better about today, and our team. In postgame interviews, the Jets players sounded real fired up. Let's hope they don't lose that fire on the flight to Washington, let's hope that what we all watched today was a team getting hot, with a little serendipity as the spark.
That's reaching. How can any team that is 4-12 be "supposed" to be anything? You never know how new players are going to gel with the rest of the roster, you never know who's going to get hurt, suddenly suck or otherwise flop. You especially don't know how a QB that's played one system for 103 years is going to do when you plonk him in a new one a fortnight before the opener. The CS get criticised fairly and criticised unfairly, but they don't get enough credit for bringing this all together and taking us to the verge of the postseason.
The problem is, that you seem happy to just brush under the mat, is that we've been shown what the Jetscan do and perform like when they get it right. But all too often, we've let teams dictate how a game is going to be run. That game yesteday was started by us, controlled by them and finished by us. Our defense is Rip-van-Winkle. Bob Sutton HAS to go. I seriously mean this. I think I could do a better job as could some other posters on here. Its not rocket science and 'Barb' just continues to be too damn clever and it its now been backfiring for the last 3 weeks , at least. It was good to see Brett smiling when he ran out of the tunnel. For the last 2 weeks hes come out looking glum and performed like it. Happy Favre = Win , which make me wonder what the hell they say to him to get him so pumped up. Again, yet another super Elam performance. Very close to being my player of the year. What a rough start this kid had, and to respond the way he has is outstanding.
