I don't know about anyone else, but its kind of pissing me off that every move we have made this offseason has been either acquiring an ex-patriot or immitating them. Anyone else feel the same way?
They won 3 of the last 5 SBs how can you get pissed off about acquiring players that are proven winners! I hope we immitate them all the way to the SB.
Everyone seems to forget that Bellifraud started the gaytriots ?Dynasty? by steeling Bill Parcells NYJ?s staff and half the defense.
Your completely right, i did forget about that but thats probably because everytime i think of Belichick and the Jets Im embarassed to be a Jets fan
Also Dallas has taken Glenn, Ward, Ferg, Fabini, you name it from us but no one's blaming him because he was the father of that age of the Jets. It seems that all learners under Parcells like swap players back and forth through FA until their all playoff caliber teams... look at even Crennel getting McGinest, Andruzzi, and then Mickens from Parcells' first team, the Jets.
Every new coach attempts to get players from his previous team because they trust them and know what they'll get out of them. Of course he's gonna implement the type of D that he's used to running and one that he has won with. I sure in the hell don't want him to run this team in anyway like Herm did. So if Mangini came from Buffalo or Philly or wherever and brought in a couple of players from that team, I guess we would be the NY Bills or NY Eagles...Just give the guy a chance and let him do what's right for the team. Everything this new FO has done has improved this team.
you want to surprise me....make a meaningful thread...most newbies dont...its almost sad!! im tired of newbies crying bout something and then creating a thread about it...
Just because we have E. Magini and signed a couple of ex-Pats and also approaching the offseason like the pats doesnt mean we are the PaTs. Although i would like to win 3 SB championship in a 5 year span
Historically since the Parcells/Jets era, players have been jumping back and forth.......Curtis Martin is the first to come in mind......Tangini is making logical decisions that MOST of us agree with....if you don't like it there are plenty of teams in the NFL you can root for.....because last years FO emulated the 49ers, Saints, and Texans.
Real tough to win when you have the greatest quarterback in the league. Put him in the same league as Holmgrem and Shannahan – other coaches who were able to win when they had the best QB.
