First, let me start off by saying that a lot of you guys have been talking about how it's Holmgren's last game, and how the Jets haven't been able to win on the West this year. Both of them valid points, but here's two more for you guys. The first being the fact that Seattle has yet to win against any East Coast team at home. Meaning their home record exactly mirrors our West Coast record. We both equally suck at what we'll be doing on Sunday. Second, and probably the more important one. The Jets are 5/5 against Seattle in the past 5 games. We'll be looking for a 7th consecutive win, and probably our most important of all of them. I still believe in this team. Yes, Seattle will be playing their hearts out for Holmgrens final last game. BUT! Don't think for one second that Favre doesn't want another ring in what is most probably his final NFL season ever. He'll be playing until the final seconds.
If Leon gets double the amount of touches (rushing) he did against the Bills, the Jets have a chance.
How so? We knew the Jets were clearly making the playoffs that year when the Seahawks came to town. Furthermore, look at the results. AFC Eastern Division- Jets 12-4, Dolphins 10-6, Bills 10-6, Patriots 9-7, Colts 3-13 Playoff Seeding 1. Broncos 14-2 2. Jets 12-4 3. Jaguars 11-5 4. Dolphins 10-6 5. Bills 10-6 6. Patriots 9-7 Had the Jets lost to Seattle and finished 11-5, they still would have held a tiebreaker advantage over Jacksonville.
The call didn't work. VT was well short of the goal. Those of you that disagree need to praise the blind refs, not the call.
HUH? The Jets have been screwed so many times by the refs over the years, that call was only the first down payment on what they still owe us...and don't forget the interest!
Double Leon's carries from the last game would be 2. It would not result in TJ being excluded from the offense.
