There is no way we should trade up.

If we give up 2 #1's and a third to move to #2, I am becoming a Saints fan instantly.

    That is dumb dumb dumb.....

How the F* Can you put Points on a Spot when there are Variables to consider including the Unknown variable of a Human Being!

^^^ YEah, the worth of the number pick should be effected by the needs of the team trading the pick.

It would be dumb for NYJ to move up to the 2 spot for all those picks. We can get a QB later. Leinart may or may not be a success come 3 years down the road.

Not if Matt Lienart lives up to the hype or Reggie Bush slips.

I agree, if the Saints want to draft D'Brick (not saying that they will, but that is what people are saying lately) and the Jets throw the best offer available do you think they will be dumb enough to draft him with the 2nd pick knowing that they can get him with the 4th and getting another bonus pick (not saying that I will like this to happen).

But that is too much spots that we need to fix,i think we should just be smart and pick the players we need which is alot and not just gamble on somebody who u dont necessariy need since we have qbs on our roster already who are good enough.

well im sure they are scouting him alot. if they feel he has the skills to be one of the best in the Nfl im sure they will do it. If they feel he is play that is better then anyone was can get with the other first round and third i think they should do it.

:eek:hmy: That's surprising, because most other things have them leaning towards Williams over Ferguson.

I still say no, because we can get a guy like Whitehurst or Jacobs later and you just never know what Leinart is gonna end up like. You saw Heath Shuler and Ryan Leaf flounder after they were supposed to be stars. If we took Omar or Charlie, and he sucked, at least we wouldn't have wasted a 1st round choice on Leinart if we found out that he wasn't any good either.

I gaurantee you guys that our FO is not thinking about the possibilty that the player they draft will be a bust. They are gonna make the decision that they feel will benefit this team the most. I can't believe this loser mentality that exists on this board..If they feel Leinart is by far the best QB prospect in this draft then they will do whatever it takes to get him, there will be no thoughts of Heath Shuler and no thoughts of Ryan Leaf, they will trust there scouts and scouting reports..
