Jets Team Report 4/14/2006 By Rich Cimini New York Daily News Code: i forgot these come out every friday.
Cimini is such a piece. THERE ARE NO CONCERNS ABOUT LEINART'S ARM STRENGTH YOU TOOL!!! I wonder if hes ever seen Leinart play, or if he just gets all his updates from some shitty draft site. Cutler over Leinart? Oh yeah, sorry, I mustve forgot how much he benches. A true NT is needed, huh? Since when does a 290 pound penetrator qualify?
If we stay at 4 Id like to take either Leinart or Mario Williams, and to a lesser extent, Vernon Davis. AJ Hawk is not a good fit for our 34, and though I have no problem with Brick, if hes not already taken, Id prefer to address OL later
I dont think we take Cutler seriously either. If were gonna get a QB we need a QB who knows how to win.
i don't think we should trade down, but i also wouldn't mind it; especially if it's to take Vernon Davis. you have to assume that no matter what, we'll be addressing the OL with two or three selections (one of them being a starter). therefore, selecting Davis adds an Offensive weapon as well as a decent blocker who can improve in that area. either way, this helps the OL, which is what we're all clamoring for. but Davis kills two birds with one stone by helping the OL and the passing game. the only reason i don't see us getting Davis is because we'd have 4 TE's on the roster (exlcuding Dearth), which is too many considering all of our other needs. however, Davis would definitely be the best TE. he's not a need, but he's not a bad selection either if we trade down. cheers
Leinart's arm isn't weak per se, but there are definitely concerns about it, especially with the lack of velocity his motion produces.
Jets Team Report: Jets suck and will win 0 out of 16 games next season. Patrick Ramsey will suck and Curtis Martin will retire becuase he sucks now. Laverneaus Coles will wanna come back to D.C but we slap him in the face and say too bad. Then when you put in Lienart and he goes through rookie mistakes you guys can boo him so hard its gets to his head and he busts like Ryan Leaf. Thats why every Jets QB except Joe Namath sucked, cuase your the worst fans in the world and boo him everytime he makes a rookie mistake.
so are you saying that the jets suck? :shit: and before this past season your team wasn't much to talk about either. ass(_!_)
yeah, and the skins are the class of the NFL. they've made SO much noise the past 10 years. wow, 1 playoff win against the Bucs. that game had me itching for more.
As pathetic as that was, it also was the most productive thing you've probably ever done in your entire life.
Not sure what makes you think Hawk wouldn't be a good fit for the 34. He is hands down the best all around defensive prospect coming out of this draft. Will he be drafted ahead of Williams? No ... but that is because of the desire for big time pass rushers. But all around talent ... that is Hawk ... and I have no doubt he can play the 34. I would be happy with Williams, D'Brick or Hawk at #4. Then again I would be just as happy trading down for extra picks.
Not a good fit for our 3-4. In a 3-4 his best fit is as an ILB. We are already cluttered at that position with Vilma, Barton, Hobson, and Kassell. We need us some pass rushing OLBs, not more run stuffing ILBs, which is what Hawk is
