Might have been the most exaggeration I've seen in a thread since the guy saying he wished Herm was still the coach.

Let's just take a shot with a mid to late round pick on DJ Boldin.

What's sad is that at one point in the season they were consistently being rushed at the QB, and the Jets were winning games... then it all stopped.

If Parcells and Sparano had Favre, he would have earned that Pro Bowl spot this year.

Its the coaching. Its always been the coaching with this team.

Every year someone starts this thread about Coles. He'll be back next year regardless.

In other news, the Pennington bandwagon is getting overfull... some of you coming back to the fold are going to have to walk.

Did the anti-depressants run out? Turnover in the NFL is huge, you make a list like you did with every team in the NFL especially if you want to go in a time capsule all the back to Farrior in the 2001 season. All of the guys on that list had major question marks or someone better in front of them.

Cut him, us Dolphin fans would love to have him. We don't have a reciever as good as Coles.

i'm glad someone outside the fishtank said this. I remember threads complimenting Coles as well.

This thread is more ignorant bullshit from football fans.

this IS a stupid thread....Coles plays hurt all the time, and is still effective. Who''s going to replace him if we get rid of him? Ocho Cinqo?....i don't think so.

I understand he's on the downside of his career....but i don't think we should cut him loose just for the sake of cutting somebody. :)

If the Jets let Coles go, he'll sign with the Dolphins in about 30 seconds.

He will then go on to get 1000+ yards and 8 TDs as the #1 option in Miami. Coles, Camarillo, Bess/Ginn with Fasano/Martin at tight end would make Chad's production this year look like nothing.

i never did understand the negative attitude on this site towards coles. the guy has been the consumate pro for us for a number of years. tougher than chrebet, faster than chrebet, more heart than chrebet, more production than chrebet. but still everyone wants to have chrebets babies.

maybe its because coles has opened his mouth a couple times, or maybe its something else? maybe people dont like him because he was abused as a child and had the balls to come out and say it so that little kids today wouldnt suffer through the same things he did in dealing with what happened to him.

    or maybe its something else?

its all about the fact the he said things that irked Jet fans. Thats all it is. Some people just can't deal with it and let it go.

I love the fact that he speaks his mind. And for what happened to him as a kid - look at him now. He's a talented WR in the NFL that teams would love to have.

I have a different theory- Coles has gone to war for Chad and I think a lot of people here hate Pennington so much that they let it out on Coles. The fact that the Phins are at the doorsteps of the postseason with the guy they've blasted for years makes it tough for them and they lash out at the closest thing to Chad on the team. Coles is also vocal so he makes an easy target.

Coles is a player that I respect- he's a warrior and gives 110% all the time. I'll go to war with Coles on this squad any day of the week.
