I felt that way after Kotite and 1-15, but I stayed loyal. You'll feel different by late summer, I'm guessing. The NFL is worse than crack cocaine.

They are talking about Wesley Walker. He played for the Golden Bears and then was drafted by the Jets in 1977. He played for the Jets for 13 seasons. He once scored four touchdowns in a game like Al Bundy.

Yeah he's one of the main problems clearly..... And as a fan aren't you curious to see what happens to him, who will be the Jets QB next year and how he does?

And by the way, what's with your signature? I understand they won the Super Bowl in the 68' season and made it to the AFC championship in 98', but they didn't make the playoffs in the 78-79 or 88-89 season.. Am I missing something here?

85inthehall said his cousin married former Jet WR Wesley Walker and that's why he's a Jets fan..

I've said it time and time again - I can't possibly imagine raising my kids to be Jets fans. It's almost like religion - let them choose - because I can't burden the guilt of raising them just to subject them to the abuse of being a Jets fan. My god, this is awful. I really don't know what to say at this point.

A friend of mine used to caddy at a local country club. One day he overheard this conversation between his golfer and another: My dad made me a Jets fan, and I still haven't forgiven him.

    Now there's a JETS fan!

Don't give up when you're 18 kid - it will set a bad precedent for the rest of your life. And the Jets will give you many, many more reasons to quit in the years to come.

"I quit" speeches sound so much better coming from broken-down old geezers on their deathbeds. From teenagers, they just sound comical.

iv not been a jet for long, living over in the uk its not as big as it should be and its something you find later on. I started watching the jets and just knew they were my team straight away, and the guy who got me into football (also a jet) said its great your following the jets, but you will get your heart broken. this to me sums love for the team up, id still love the jets after a 0-16 season. its ridiculous that people are talking about giving up on the jets after a season which yes went bad at the end, but on the whole was okay wasnt amazing, but it was alright.

You can tell most of the guys on here dont play MMOs, I must have emoragequit my games a dozen times by now only to log back in a day later, its all partof the joy that is taking this bullshit too seriously.

I will admit though this is the single most disappointing season I have endured since starting with the Jets in '85 - it all looked so good when we beat the Titans, i reallly did think we had a chance to do it this year, I should (of course) have known better, we are the Jets after all.

its tough because I am also a Newcastle Fan (soccer for you Americans) and so both "my teams" are crap (Newcastle have not won anything since 1969) and seemingly doomed to eternal failure.
