Not giving any opinion on the following, just relaying what I heard in a sound byte.

Jenkins seemed both mad and sad and sounded off today, saying " A young coach that has Two winning seasons in three years, I do not know what else they expected him to do."

He gave Mangini a lot of praise, but said "football is an ugly Business and mangin knew what he was getting into".

EGGGS-ZAAAAAACTLY!! And where has this Polar Bear been the last 6 games? Don't tell me that people figured out how to block him, cause that obviously frees up 1 xtra person, unless Sutton told the guys "If no on blocks you, stay where you are"

Great, now we have an unhappy Jenkins. Nice job Favre way to get your coach fired and destroy an organization.

If Jenkins was so concerned about Mangini maybe he should have played better down the stretch.

The Big Man spoke his piece and that's fine. He knows football is a business and is a professional. Lets see if he turns into a malcontent or just moves on with the rest of the team.

There, there Mrs. Mangini, it'll be alright.

We know no one likes to see their husband fired.

I guess it is really going to depend on who they get as a coach. Who will be happy and who will think of getting released. We should find out pretty soon I would think.

Practically every single post you've made today is the same exact post. You sound like a petulant child.

I'm just curious to see who the Jets brass expect to replace Mangini with. There's really not going to be much available out there this off-season, and with the numbers of teams that will be in the bidding wars to fill these head coaching vacancies, it seems highly unlikely that the Jets will be able to find anyone better than Mangini in my opinion. Cowher wont be biting that much is certain. Good luck...

I think the problem with Jenkins is he was a little banged up and had no real back-up. He played 3/4 of the plays this year and the only real backup he had was Pouha, who is crap. You can't play a guy that big, that long, withoug giving him some decent relief. You look at the best 3-4 defenses in the league they have a great NT and a solid back-up. The guy just got worn out I think.

As for what he said, I would think he is just in a bit of shock, as is the whole team probably. If they get a solid HC in, I will bounce back. From all accounts the guy loves NYC, so I doubt he is going to be a malcontent.
