I don't think Davis is better either, but how much better would our offense be?
What LB is gonna be able to stick with him?
What safety is gonna be able to stick with him?
Which CB can block him from getting to a ball?

I don't know the answer, but I think alot of Defensive Coordinators will be asking those questions come Sunday.

A 1st or 2nd round TE would be a luxury pick this year. First round TE's are the kiss of death for this team. Lets not even go there ... O no you din't !

Tangini should have a seperat board for TE, S and FB. It shouldn't even come out until the 5th round.

PS ... I dont care if the guy can actually levitate off the field and shoot fireballs from his eyes, he is at the end of the day a TE !

Also of note did you check out the Longsnapper from Rutgers, Robert Frapples, who ran a 4.25 40 ... we could probably get him at #29.

How much did Antonio Gates help the Chargers?
They have old ass Keenan McCardell and who else for receiver?
I've seen plenty of big passes thrown to Heath Miller for Pittsburgh.
Alge Crumpler makes big plays for the Falcons offense.
    Wasn't Shockey Eli's #1 target last season?

Combine was no slow track, the times at the combine were absurd.

Not sure if you're advocating Davis at #4 or not but as I've said before he'd have to turn out to be the best TE in the NFL to justify that pick. He'd have to be Gates, a Crumpler or Miller at 4 is a disaster.

In 20 years 3 TEs have been selected higher than 13, two at 9 and one at 6, and all 3 have been busts although Winslow is still young.

Gates is special, but he is the 2, in a big 1-2 punch. LT is the driver on that team, he lead them in receptions for at least a year, if not more, and Gates is a COMPLIMENT to him. That is the role of TE, COMPLIMENT to talent. Unfortunately, we need younger talent elsewhere, RB, WR, QB. Gonzalez is great also, gee, they had guys named Priest and Johnson there to be the focus, and Shockey, when not hurt, is solid, but Tiki, although probably underated, is the focus of that O as well. TE should not even be a thought in this draft.

What pick did the Chargers select Gates at?
McCardell is as good if not better than our WR and also two words
Ladanian Tomlinson. If he fell to 29 fine but #4, wow !
The other guys are good, but still based on what I've seen of them I STILL WOULDN'T take them in the Top 15 picks.

Hey, I understand people don't want to take a TE that high.
To tell you the truth I'm not really sure I would.... I'm not high on TE or WR's with the first 5-10 picks, but there are always exceptions to the rule.
    Is he that exception?
I don't know, but on paper and from what I've seen on film, I see someone who is gonna open up any offense..

Stopping on a dime will get an NFL player injured in a heartbeat....only Barry Sanders was able to do it for a long time and that's because every time he was about to get tackled he just dove to the ground. Smart man.

And his legs are and calves are more stout and compact than Reggie's and Sanders never stopped on a dime going full speed.
    Check the highlights....
