I agree because Tanny should have also been coaching the players. Tanny brought in all those FAs, but did nothing to improve their skills...such a shame we have him. Im just glad he didn't move up to the 4th spot by giving up 2 first rounders and picked Gholston...
Agreed 100%. I like Tannenbaum alot, but the whole Mangini firing has gotten me a little skeptical about most things Jets right now. I can't wait to just hire a coach and have a fun draft season. Woody has made quite a few people look bitch-made this offseason so far.
He didn't bring them in, Johnson did. Tannenbaum doesn't do a thing involving money without Johnson's knowledge. If he did then why didn't he spend a dime in the other years he was here?
He just didn't PAY for them...He did everything else. Im pretty Woody told him to use a few blank checks, but IMO, it was Tanny that worked on the trades and FA pickups. Its never Tanny alone, however.
Lmao! Still smarting from that meltdown you had in the politics threads. You should keep that stuff over there. Ftr I think the other BB is a good poster. Re the OP, Much of what you have posted is a fair description of what transpired, but you assume too much that Tanny saw the future. Imo he was caught up in the Favre hype as much as anyone, and was not planning for the worst. What happened during the season, though, may be pretty close to what you posted. The Woody love for Favre is for real, though. Not that in itself it says anything definitive about Favre, but Woody doesn't know crap about football. This should be obvious by now.
