Our competition for Spags/Ryan just got someone else. Not bad, not bad. Its been reported by Sportscenter BTW ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that the Denver Broncos and Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels have reached an agreement that will make the 32-year-old offensive whiz the new head coach of the Broncos. Per Mortensen, an official announcement is expected to be made on Monday. I thought DEN should have went with a defensive minded coach with their defensive woes and all but who knows.
I just heard on ESPN............Jet's were never interested. Josh McDaniels OC of the Patriots is the new HC of the Denver Broncos as reported by Chris Mortenson on NFL Primetime source will come once it is up
this is excellent news....this means that the Jets should be the most desirable landing spot for a coach. Nobody wants to coach the Lions or Rams....we should have our pick of the litter.
Does anyone really think that another disciple of the Belichick coaching tree will be the next Belichick? Bill's proven time and time again that its his show up in New England. He's the one who made Crennel and Mangini looked like credible coaches. When will everyone else realize that?
Well after last year's Super Bowl I'm a bit surprised by this. It's going to be interesting to see how Denver approaches the running game now with such a Head Coach who's so pass-oriented.
well actually if you think about it the best job is the lions job because if you win 6 games next season you are a savior. Also its not like anyone in that organization is going to be really demanding as long as things get fixed or at least tried to fix you could keep your job
I'm speaking from a "talent" and "facilities available" point of view...the Jets are heads above the Rams and Lions in that aspect (neither the Lions or the Rams have enough talent on D...and the Facility at Florham Park is state of the art) If a coach wants to fall back on excuses...then Detroit or St.Louis would be a good place for that coach.
good point, he also has brandon marshall, a great young receiver, along with Eddie Royal. My question is how did he become an offensive coordinator. He was a personnel assistant, a defensive assistant, qb coach, then off. coord. Does that process make any sense? Sometimes i wonder if Belichick promotes figureheads so he can hide the actual "good" coaches. Does anyone know who's been on his staff the longest?
The Broncos offense should be quite explosive next season....Cutler could be a NFL fantasy football god. Belichick relies on the "film room"....nuff said
let's interview him. don't leave any rock unturned. Funny how i've never heard of this guy, has anyone else? He's offensive line/assistant head coach.
in Madden, macdaniels is the only coordinator every yr that has rating of '5' for QB accuracy and power and they never bump him up to the HC position, so you can always get the best enhancement to your QB position by grabbing him as your O coordinator.
i agree......which further proves I dont want a coach looking for excuses when we lose. I want someone who sees the expectations are high in NY Market/Media and this team has talent and the means that any coach who plans on making a real name for themselves would take on the responsibility of coaching the Jets.
