Man does this guy suck? Did you see those picks? 13-30, 141 yards and three interceptions in the biggest game of the year? Man, are the Jets lucky they didn't draft this guy!

P.S. If you weren't part of the Pennigton bashing because of his bad game against the Ravens you can ignore this. For those others the point is, in case you didn't get it, that great defenses can make any QB look bad. Even Ben didn't have a great day, but his team is much better than the Dolphins, so he managed. Flacco will have a very good career and will be a very good quarterback, but all QBs will at sometime experience the growing pains of a great defense. Keep this in mind as the Jets try to find and develop their QB of the future!

His 2 WR's are Derrick Mason and Mark Clayton and his TE is Todd Heap. His top rushing game was from a fullback in his 2nd year........

We gotta be a bit fair here, he isnt surrounded with all that much to work with.

(Just backing up your point btw)

pennigton throws picks because he physically cant make the throws.. we've known this for years.. Flacco's a rookie and it will take time before he gets pocket awareness.

Pennington is a seasoned vet who has repeatedly failed against top defenses, Flacco is a rookie. Remind me when the last time Pennington played in the AFC championship was too please. Oh and that strong armed Rothlisberger did pretty well against that Ravens defense ...

Wait, so Flacco, a rookie, has the same expectations and should perform just as well as a QB who's been in the league for 8 years?

Funny thing is, Flacco, as a rookie, has already taken his team further than Pennington has ever taken any of his teams.

Todd Heap, Derrick Mason, and Mark Clayton are all good options. I know Mason and Clayton are small WRs, but they have consistent production. Heap is one of the better all-around tight ends in the league...when he's healthy.

LeRon McClain was one of the best power backs in the NFL this season. McGahee and Rice were also decent.

Flacco struggled today not because of his supporting cast, but because he played against the best defense in the NFL. The Steelers are ranked #1 against the pass and #2 against the run. Most quarterbacks struggle against Pittsburgh.

comparing Pennigton to Flacco physically is like comparing a water pistol to a bazooka.

Pennington is smarter with the football...but that comes with experience...Flacco will get there in time.

I'd rather have Flacco that Pennington any day of the week.

the dolhpins are a mirror image of the 2006 jets.. rookie head coaches, pennigton is comeback player of the year.. both teams not a whole lot of talent coming off poor season, weak schedule.. both ran gimmicks...

except we have tons of money under the cap, 3 picks in the first 2 rounds of the upcoming draft, a QB in waiting behind pennington, and a great front office.....

And Flacco had talent way beyond anything the Jets had.

Mason was a good option but he is like Coles and that he shouldent be a No.1 on near SB teams. Clayton has been inconsistent and a semi disappointment since BAL expected more out of him when drafted in round 1. Heap was good before injuries and when younger but right now he isnt even that great of a TE.

McClain had a nice year but BAL lacked a big time RB or at least a strong one. McGahee battled injuries all year and Rice was a rookie and only did well(Well decent) in a few games.

This is ridiculous. Joe Flacco might turn out to be ok, but he hasn't done shit. It was his defense that got him this far.

P.S. Derrick Mason is a fucking stud. He's probably the most underrated WR in the league.

Flacco struggled because for once he was asked to try and win the game and he couldn't. That's why you saw crucial rookie mistakes.

Oh dont get me wrong he isnt a bad WR by any means, but he is getting there in age and shouldent be a relied upon WR like what Fitzgerald, Moss, A Johnson, Steve Smith among a few others are. If you can get Flacco an ace at WR, then wow.........
