Is Vilma really washed up? Didn't catch much Saints football this season.

Jets fans will never be able to finally let go of Vilma. In 10 years they'll be saying bring JV out of retirement!! He can lead our D!!

FACE IT. He's overrated as hell! He's had one good season in the NFL, and was nothing more than average for NO last year in his preferred 4-3 scheme.

    Please STOP the Vilma threads!!!!!!

Siragusa is a stooge. He should stick to filming "Mancaves" on DIY.

Vilma had a very good season for the Saints

You can try to justify it all u want but Vilma was a beast in the 4-3 and since he was our only cover guy I wonder how he would have fit in the 3-4 next to Jenkins this season.

The Jon Vilma situation is the result of the complete mismanagement of this organization. He had no business playing in a 3-4. If he spent his first 2-3 years in the same proper system for him, he'd be a beast.

Do you not find it ironic how every 1st round draft pick LBer from Miami has been a dominant force, except our guy, who we kicked out in favor of a scheme that still hasn't worked.

As soon as Tony "fat boy" Siragusa can find clothes that fit his fat ass, then I might listen to what he thinks about how players "fit" on teams. Vilma is a 4-3 MLB. We run a 3-4. duh.

Tony Siragusa is nothing but a Big, Fat Fuck. He knows next to nothing about football, he's useless as a commentator and about all that he remembers about the game was that he was the fat guy who clogged up the middle while the real athletes around him did the dirty work. He's the single worst football commentator in the game today and no one who cares about the game pays any attention to the fool.

OMG... Guys Vilma isn't coming back.. Forget it.. If he does the Jets don't get the Saints pick.. Vilma made tackles this year 7 yards after the line of scrimmiage.. He did not have a great year...

The problem with bringing Vilma back is hes going to need THAT big body in front of him to provide that inertia , Jenkins trailed off the longer the season went on , yeah I know he was hurt ,But when Pouha cam in , he just couldn't match the same intensity , so we will need a 'Ngata ' as well as jenkins for this to work.

No he didn't. He once again just made a shitload of tackles down the field which is the story of his career. 1 INT and 1 sack on the 17th ranked rush D, and 23rd ranked overall D. Their whole D was anemic including JV. 2004 was his only good year.
