This was bound to be made eventually, so I decided to make it now, will we get even better, or worse?

Vote on whatever you believe is going to change for the jets, if you believe Favre is gonna stay or leave, or if new coordinators are coming in, vote accordingly

We have a much harder schedule and we don't even know if we have a QB at all and our OC may be leaving. If we do better then we have just hired the coach of the century.

At this moment, I will say 9-7, obviously way too early to say though.

I think this team will regress by a win or two given the harder schedule and new approach: 7-9.

Even if the record isn't as good, and let's say we don't make the Playoffs (the sked looks tough), I will be happy if the team improves in it's Defensive statistical rankings and in the entertainment area -- meaning, even we lose more game than this past year, I want to be able to actually watch us a lose.

I'm surprised at how optimistic this board is all of a sudden. Talk about a change of mood. I think that, due to the strength of our schedule and the obvious transition period, we will have another 9-7 season, 8-8 if we're bad, 10-6 +playoffs if the players adapt quickly.

    This said, I expect a 12-4 season in 2010.

I'm not. This board is full of people who posted all season long about how everyone and anyone on this team's roster and coaching staff (not named Leon) sucked, but you'd always see these same posters say that anything less than a Superbowl win this last year should be considered a failure, the team should have done better. Huh?

And these are probably the same people who voted overwhelmingly in that poll that Ratty should be our starting QB (no matter if Favre wants to come back or not, or what FA is available if he does not).

Basically, overall mental health of this board is manic-depressive IMO. It's really hard for me to say, among other things not looking at schedule game by game yet, but I voted 1-3 less wins. For comparison purposes, in preseason prediction thread I predicted either 10-6 or 9-7 this year.

Thats about all I can hope for as well. There are so many questions to answer at this point its hard to even pretend to make a call on final record.

With the league wide information we have now I'll say 16-0 and a SB win. I'm likely to be wrong just like everyone else, but who gives a shit about my guess at this point and time.

Hehehe, you're right but in fact, people didn't complain all season, they said that we were the best team ever when we were 8-3, then at 8-4 we were absolutely crap again and at 9-7 everyone had to fired, but not at the same time, one day the fashion was to fire Mangini, then Favre, Tannenbaum, then Johnson (even if he can't be fired), then Tannenbaum again and so on.

The fun thing is that now Tannenbaum is Tanny "the Cap Wizard" again, Johnson took his time but finally landed the right guy and maybe Kellen Clemens is not such a bad option at qb. If Favre returns and throws 2 td passes in his first preseason game, purrs of joy will be felt followed by a "fire him" when he throws his first INT. That's the way it goes 'round here...

New coach, new defensive scheme, questionable QB situation and the same sucker OC that helped us flounder half this past season... and there is actually someone dumb enough to say 11-5 or BUST???

If Mangini can take a team to 10-6 his rookie season as coach, Rex Ryan can certainly do the same. This is still a good football team. I'm saying 10-6 for now.

Agreed, but just for fun i will say 8-8. Hard schedule and QB issues.
