Why doesnt Leinart rufuse?

because archie manning isnt his pops. and his big brother isnt the best qb in the game.

 

I think refusing to go to any other team would make the Jets want him LESS, Mangini has said over and over that he wants good character guys who are team players, and refusing to play for certain teams does not show those characteristics.

Why doesn't he refuse like Eli Manning?

Because most QB's / players coming out of the draft:

A. Don't have the balls to do that
or...most likely:
B. Arn't little crybabys that only want to play where they want to play

 

it's also against the CBA to do this. if you don't want to play for the team that drafts you, you don't get to play at all.

Leinart really can't pull a Manning because the entire NFL will lose respect for him just like they did for Eli. What happens if the Giants cut Eli? No one else wants him. It'd be the same thing for Leinart.
Also, like jetophile said, the CBA says that if you don't play for the team that drafts you, you can't sign or play for any other team. Leinart doesn't want to do that. If he's so hooked on playing for us, he should really try to make Reese think that Young or Cutler is better (which he may already think)
